Abstract

Sejarah telah mencatat bahwa Islam telah mengalami masa kejayaannya yaitu padamasa Dinasti Abbasiyah. Kejayaan tersebut ditandai dengan pesatnya perkembanganilmu pengetahuan, baik ilmu keagamaan maupun ilmu umum, yang memberikankontribusi besar tidak hanya bagi dunia Islam tetapi juga bagi bangsa Eropa sejaksaat itu dan pengaruhnya masih terasa hingga saat ini. Dari sekian banyak Khalifahyang berkuasa pada masa Dinasty Abbasiyah yang menorehkan tinta emasnya,Khalifah Al Makmun, Putra dari Khalifah Harun Al-Rasyid, merupakan salah satuKhalifah yang menunujukan kegigihannya di dalam mewujudkan kejayaan Islammelalui kebijakannya di dalam mengembangkan pedidikan Islam. Al-Ma’munbanyak mendirikan lembaga-lembaga pendidikan yang dijadikan sarana belajar danpengembangan ilmu pengetahuan bagi masyarakat pada waktu itu. Selain itu Al-Ma’mun juga mengembangkan Baitul Hikmah sebagaitempat penerjemahan bukubukudan sarana halaqah-halaqah yang membahas dan mengkaji keilmuan

Abstract

In the process of understanding the religious text, the reader, text, and author are the three elements that each other are inseparable and / or interrelated. Separating the three can lead to an attitude of authoritarianism in understanding the meaning of texts. The attitude of authoritarianism is an act of arbitrariness in understanding the meaning of texts so it is not uncommon to assume the correct understanding.To avoid such authoritarianism, according to Khaled, negotiations between the three (reader, text, and author) should be established, so that each does not dominate each other in the process of determining the meaning of texts. In other words, the determination of meaning comes from a complex, interactive, dynamic and dialectical process between the three elements (text, author, and the reader). In addition, to stem, prevent and refrain, groups, and religious organizations from authoritarianism in determining the meaning of religious texts, Khaled also proposed five precepts: honesty, self-control, sincerity, whole, and rationality.

Abstract

Education is the quality of a school that requires professional education personnel. Education personnel play an active role in shaping the knowledge and skills of students. Because the education staff will produce higher quality graduates. One way to realize this professionalism requires one of the supports from the principal. The principal is very important in leading those who are directly related to the implementation of educational programs in schools. The approach used in the research at MI Ma'arif NU Karangsari is a qualitative approach, data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The purpose of this paper is to determine the leadership role of school principals in developing institutions and principals' strategies in developing educational institutions. The principal of the MI Ma'arif NU Karangsari school was able to improve the development of existing institutions at the school. This is evident from the curriculum, student affairs, facilities and infrastructure and student learning achievement that goes well and according to teacher performance standards.
