Abstract

This study aims to see the development of the number of vegetable crop yields in the following year. With this prediction, it is hoped that it can help the government and the community to be more careful in increasing the supply of crop stocks in order to meet the food needs of the people of Simalungun Regency. The data source is obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics. In this study, researchers used the Backpropagation Algorithm. The Backpropagation Algorithm is an algorithm that functions to reduce the error rate by adjusting the weight based on the desired output and target. The results of this study show that the best architectural model is the 2-1-1 model with an accuracy rate of 75.0% and an epoch of 1392 iterations in 00:07 seconds. This research is expected to be a reference material in other studies that have the same research object and as a consideration for the government in making an even more accurate evaluation system

Abstract

Fully understanding the message delivered in written English or Spoken English will save a lot of time for the readers as well as the lisnters to have the comprehension of  the information conveyed..The use of appropriate words that  represent what the writer or the speaker has in his mind has  the potential to enable the readers or the listeners to take the required messages in the shortest possible time. With  representivve  vocabulary that are used to meet  contextual requirements will guarantee a message to reach its required object. Correct use of words will create fully meaningful messages to their readers as well as listeners. Abstract

This activity aims to enhance scout members' interest in learning English in Simalungun Regency through engaging and interactive educational approaches. As English is an international language and a key skill in today’s globalized world, mastering it offers valuable opportunities for communication beyond national borders. As an extracurricular activity, scouting plays a significant role in building students' character, discipline, and social awareness. By combining the values of scouting with English language learning—through methods such as interactive training and evaluations—this program successfully increased both the basic English skills and the motivation of participants while raising awareness of the importance of English proficiency.

Abstract

One of the factors for the low mathematical understanding of students is the inappropriate learning method. The selection of the STAD method is believed to be able to improve students' mathematical understanding. This research uses a quantitative approach (pre-experiment). This study aims to determine the difference in students' mathematical understanding before and after using the STAD method. The research population consisted of STIKOM Tunas Bangsa students majoring in Information Systems in the 2023-2024 academic year, with 8 classes, and the sample was drawn from class 23S01. Quantitative data analysis using SPSS 25, namely paired sample t-test. The results showed that the correlation value was 0.714, indicating a strong and significant correlation between initial understanding and final understanding. Based on the mean value of initial understanding (pretest) with a value of 70.83, lower than the mean final understanding (Post-test) after using the STAD method of 79.44. The sig. A value of 0.00 or smaller than 0.05 states that mathematical understanding after using the STAD method is higher than before using the STAD method. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant and strong increase in mathematical understanding after using the STAD-type cooperative method in higher education, one of which is for STIKOM Tunas Bangsa students
