Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between reading skills and student’s Indonesian learning outcomes first semester of fifth grade of SD Negeri Lumutan 1 Botolinggo Bondowoso District at academic year 2015/2016. This research is a quantitative non-experimental research with correlation techniques. Hypothesis testing is done by using statistical calculations parametric Spearman Rank correlation techniques. The data correlation coefficient calculation using computer assistance with the program SPSS 17,0 for Windows and the result of correlation coefficient sig. (2-tailed) amount 0,803. This suggests that the presence of a very strong relationship between reading skills and Indonesian learning outcomes of students. After correlation test performed, followed by t-test to test the significance of the relationship. Based on the calculation of the t-test is obtained t count equal to 6,27. For the 5% error level two tail test and dk = n-2 = 22, the obtained t table of 2,074. Provided that if t count > t table then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. So it can be concluded that the coefficient of correlation between student’s reading skills and Indonesian learning outcomes at 0,803 is significant. Based on testing the hypothesis can be stated that there is a significant relationship between reading skills and student’s Indonesian learning outcomes first semester of fifth grade of SD Negeri Lumutan 1 Botolinggo Bondowoso District of academic year 2015/2016.

Abstract

The goal of this research are: 1) To describe the application of methods of cooperative models think pair share to improve learning outcomes math materials arithmetic operations; 2) To improve mathematics learning materials arithmetic operations with the implementation model of cooperative methods think pair share. The method used was action research conducted two cycles. Data collection methods used in this study is the observation, tests, interviews and documentation. This study used a qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. Implementation of this research was conducted in the Integrated SD Muhammadiyah 1 Besuki in class II consisting of 30 students consisting of 16 male students and 14 female students. learning outcomes of students has increased from the first cycle to the second cycle, namely, the first cycle (70%), and the second cycle (86.67%). The conclusion of this study is the model of cooperative methods can think pair share a positive effect on learning outcomes of students of class 2 SDT Muhammadiyah I Besuki, as well as learning methods can be used as an alternative learning Mathematics.

Abstract

Proses dan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia materi menangggapi cerita tentang peristiwa merupakan masalah yang dihadapi oleh kelas V SDN 1 Curah Jeru. Pemahaman siswa terhadap materi belum maksimal karena guru menyampaikan materi pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia menggunakan metode yang kurang menarik perhatian siswa. Hal inilah yang melatarbelakangi peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pokok bahasan menanggapi cerita tentang peristiwa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang dilaksanakan di SDN 1 Curah Jeru Panji, Situbondo. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 46 siswa. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini menggunakan dua siklus dalam dua kali tatap muka. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data yaitu lembar observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia materi menanggapi cerita tentang peristiwa menggunakan metode pembelajaran Role Playing di SDN 1 Curah Jeru mengalami peningkatan dalam setiap siklusnya dengan nilai yang cukup memuaskan. Hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia sebesar 21% pada pra tes, meningkat menjadi 52% pada siklus 1. Dan meningkat lagi pada siklus 2 menjadi 73%. Dengan ini peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran eksperimen dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan tingkat pencapaian yang cukup memuaskan.
