Abstract

Background: the fulfillment of energy needs and liquids athletes of nutritional intake and the fluid that adekuat is the most frequently forgotten by athletes .Needs of water per different people , are influenced by various factors like sex , age , the activity , as well as the environment .Fluid loss as many as 3 to 5% of weight resulting in interference function cardiovascular diseases that would have a direct impact on sports performance Objective: this research aims to understand the characteristics of athletes based on fluid intake on athletes in SMA Negeri 1 Sewon. Method : the kind of research is observational with the design research cross sectional.Aspects subjects covering liquid intake, age, sex, BMI and kind of sport in athletes in any kind a sport that followed.Using a technique technique sampling random stratification.Any species of sports taken as the sample.The sample of the a total of 49 respondents. Research conducted was taken from the results of interviews respondents by the SQ FFQ. Results : liquid intake in an athlete based on kinds of sports and characteristic of (the age, sex, BMI), known of 73,5 % athletes with liquid intake less. Liquid intake the average athletes was 2963,4 ml per day, with intake at least 1412,1 ml and intake maximum 4867,9 ml and standard deviations 884,15. Conclusions : Based on characteristic (age, sex, BMI) and kinds of sports, athletes with liquid intake less (73,5 %). Keywords : characteristics athletes, kind of sports, liquid intake

Abstract

Background: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is complication of progressive kidney disease. Kidney will lose its function to control volume and body fluids. Patient CKD will be at terminal illness in various term from 2-3 months until 30-40 years. Hemodialysis is needed for CKD stadium terminal when kidney is unable to excrete waste of metabolism, control electrolyte and fluids balance, and secrete hormone. This condition will lead cumulative Nitrogen as waste product of metabolism. Objective: To determine relation between protein intake with ureum and creatinine concentration on CKD patient with hemodialysis at Hemodialysis Unit in PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Hospital. Methods: This is a descriptive analytic research using cross sectional research design. It was held on August 2016 at PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Hospital. Population is all CKD patients with Hemodialysis. Subject is chosen by inclusion criteria: want to join research and has 30-60 years old. Results: There is no significant correlation both protein intake with ureum concentration p=0.438 and protein intake with creatinin concentration p=0.205 based on Rank Spearman test. Conclusion: There is no significant correlation both protein intake with ureum concentration, and protein intake with creatinin concentration on patients with CKD at Hemodialysis Unit in PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Hospital. Abstract

Background : Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder that can not be cured but can be controlled, characterized by hyperglycemia due to deficiency of insulin or the inadequate use of insulin. RISKESDAS in 2013 the prevalence of diabetes is highest in Yogyakarta, namely by 2.6%, the results of the study in Indonesia showed that (75%) of patients was not obeying the diet recommendation. The factor affecting obedience is a social family. Objective : This study aims to determine the relationship of family support for dietary compliance of patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 in Puskesmas Gamping 1. Method : This research using cross sectional method. This research was conducted in Puskesmas Gamping 1 in December 2016. The subject of this study is patients with diabetes melitus type 2 who 27 people. Sampling method using accidental sampling technique. Family support was measured using a questionnaire support the family, while 3J diet obedience was measured using 24-hour recall for eating schedule and amount, while food frequency questionnaire for type of food. Result : Based on the chi-square analysis with p-value 1.000 (> 0,05), then Ho is accepted. Conclusion : So there is no relationship between family support with diet obedience in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 Puskesmas Gamping 1 working area. Abstract

The cause factor of malnutrition cases in hospitalized patients is the lack of nutrients intake. The leftovers is an important indicator in food arrangement in a hospital. One of the Dietitian duties in hospital is giving counseling and motivation to patients related with diet, so it is necessary to have communication media to the patient in the ward. The objectives of study to identify the in?uence of distributing the pocket book “Family and Diabetes Mellitus Patients' Motivation toward the decline of leftovers. The type of the research is quasi experimental with pre-post test with control group design. The research was conducted on July - November 2015 in wards at Panembahan Senopati District Hospital, Bantul and Kulon Progo District Hospital. The number of sample in control group and treatment group is 96 each. The research samples were patients who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data analysis was done by using both univariate and bivariat analysis. Bivariat analysis used t-test or Mann Whitney U-Test. The leftovers from the control and treatment respondents at beginning of the research were similar. The leftovers from the control and treatment respondents at the end of the research were different. Based on the result of t-test of the respondents' leftovers at the beginning and the end of the research in the control group were the same, but based on the t-test of the respondents' leftovers at the beginning and the end of the research in the treatment group were different. In the other hand, the average of the decrease of patients' leftovers in the control and treatment is different. The leftovers decline in the treatment group is more than the control group. The distribution of pocket book “Family and Diabetes Mellitus Patients' Motivation is able to decrease the leftovers from the hospitalized patients.
