Abstract

This article aims to discuss the performance of the APSON prototype (Aplikasi Pemilihan Suara Online) against the democratic needs of users who need it. The subject of this research is the Student Association of Civil Engineering from Universitas Internasional Batam. The obtained data has derived from various forms of literacy, either physical or online, which has been carefully filtered and reviewed by writers. This research has applied science and technology methods as the method to solve the problem, which also assisted by quantitative data collection techniques, namely documentation techniques, interviews, and online questionnaires. The analysis of this research has given a result as the prototype`s performance is proven to be effective in channeling user`s aspirations without fear of being affected by the risk of COVID-19 pandemic. This decent performance has compiled with various systems, namely the front end(consisting of HTML, Javascript, and CSS) and the back end(consisting of MySQL and PHP). Nevertheless, APSON is still on website-based and in development.

Abstract

Books are one of the information media that is still used today because it can be used anytime and anywhere because its use does not require a special way. Jamu is one of the Indonesian culture that is in line with the development of the times. Due to the development of drugs in the medical world, the role of herbal medicine as an herbal drink and medicines began to be forgotten. Therefore the author will design a photo book containing new or unknown information content about herbal medicine. In this study the author uses the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method and the R&D (Research and Development) method. Both of these methods consist of several stages of preparation, namely determining the potential and problem which at this stage the writer will determine the concept and design of the photo book, the next stage is the collection of data which at this stage the author will gather information and photos that will later become content From the contents of the photo book, the next stage is the design of the product at this stage the writer will design a photo book in accordance with the data that has been collected, the final step is to do the effectiveness testing of the photo books on a small and large scale. The distribution of the questionnaire was carried out on generation Z in Batam City, with a quantitative analysis obtained the results of the photo book assessment were feasible (scale of 4.01 of 5) as a medium for disseminating information.

Abstract

Cen Sui Lan is a member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia in the Riau Islands constituency in her 2019-2021 term of office. During her tenure, there have been many programs carried out, such as socialization of the four pillars, distributions of daily necessities, and the construction of STT flats. Even so, she faced a dire problem. Her works have not been widely known by the citizens of Batam. Therefore, Cen Sui Lan needed a form of media, such as motion graphics, to inform the Batam community of the programs she had done so far. The methodology applied in this research is an applied method by developing motion graphics videos using VideoScribe software and Adobe Premiere Pro. The results of the motion graphics videos will be uploaded to Cen Sui Lan's social media. The video will give more information about the works of Cen Sui Lan as a member of the House of Representatives and improve the public image for Cen Sui Lan's performance.
