Abstract

The role of freight forwarders in the transportation sector is increasingly important in line with the fluctuating volume of freight shipments. The role is in terms of handling the consolidation of cargo, which is the collection of several shipments of cargo from several shipper to several consignees into one vehicle unit to the destination. This is done because the shipper prefers to deal with only one party who will take over all responsibilities, ie since the cargo is delivered to the shipping warehouse until the cargo is received at the receiving warehouse (one stop shipping). Consolidation provides door to door service that is not carried out by shipping companies. The purpose of this research is to find out what factors influence the delay of cargo shipping by shipping line to PT Pancakarsa Bangun Reksa Medan. The type of data collected in this study is primary data which is the data obtained from the results of direct observation in the field of the object under study. The data is a packing list, a bill of lading and an insurance policy. The results showed that the delay in the cargo shipping to customers was caused by several factors, namely: 1) internal factors consisting of humans, methods and leadtime; and 2) external factors consisting of the environment and tools.

Abstract

The entrance examination is a limited way to measure one's abilities. Examination is intended to measure the knowledge of a person or student. He growing age of increasingly sophisticated technology or teaching methods is done one of them by means of this web-based online exam, with online examinations we do not need to pay extra to buy paper and spend ink to print. The growing age of increasingly sophisticated technology or teaching methods one of which is done by using this web-based online exam, with online exams we don't need to pay extra to buy paper and spend ink to print. Seeing the conditions above, the author intends to conduct research aimed at providing solutions through the assessment of various theories and observations in the field in order to design a web-based online examination system. The application development methodology that I use is the SDLC method (System Develop Life Cycle) with the waterfall process model until the testing phase. The programming language used is PHP by using MySQL as the database. The result of the research is the creation of an application that can speed up the daily exam process by up to 50% of the original time.

Abstract

The problem always occurs with solar panel users, is the efficiency of solar panels and monitoring of solar panel generating systems. This causes the need for a solar tracker and monitoring system. The tracker system functions to increase the productivity of solar panels and the monitoring system serves to provide information on the condition of the productivity of solar panels. Internet of Things (IoT) allows devices to communicate like sending and receiving data. This study designed a tracker and monitoring system consisting of Arduino Mega, Esp8266-12F, LDR sensors and servo motors. Simple web application is able to provide information in realtime to users, so they can monitor the productivity of solar panels. When the solar panel generates electricity and passes the INA219 current sensor, the sensor will send an analog signal to Arduino Mega which will be forwarded to Esp8266 to send sensor data information sent to a simple web, then the data is accessed by the Google Chrome application as a user interface. The LDR sensor can detect the level of sunlight and send a signal to arduino mega which will then be processed and send commands to the servo motor to move following the arduino mega command to the direction of the light source.
