Abstract

AbstractUntil now, there are still many Arabic teachers who do not have an adequate understanding of thepsychological approach to learning and how to apply it in learning Arabic. This condition causesthe learning method applied is still traditional and conventional. As a result, many students feelbored and find it difficult to digest the subject matter so that learning outcomes are not optimal. Byunderstanding the psychological approach in learning Arabic, teachers are expected to be able tounderstand the nature of the subject matter and choose and determine the appropriate methodaccording to the psychological tendencies of students in relation to the subject matter given.Through this paper, the author tries to refresh the memory and understanding of Arabic teachersabout various psychological approaches and their application efforts in learning Arabic. There areat least four kinds of learning psychology approaches proposed, namely the behaviorism approach,the cognitivism approach, the humanism approach and the constructivism approach. The four kindsof approaches are comprehensively reviewed and their application in Arabic learning.Keywords: Approach, Psychology, Behaviorism, Cognitivism, Humanism, Constructivism

Abstract

Media dalam sebuah proses pembelajaran merupakan sesuatu yang urgen untuk meningkatkan pelayanan pengajaran kepada peserta didik. Fokus penelitian ini bagaimana media smart card (kartu pintar) mampu memberikan nuansa lebih dalam pelayanan pembelajaran. Media smart card kali ini diadakan fokus penelitian di MTs. Khairul Muttaqin Banaresep Timur Lenteng Sumenep kelas VII. Penelitian difokuskan pada bagaimana guru Bahasa Arab mempersiapkan pembelajaran, menyampaikan pengajaran, serta mengevaluasi kegiatan pembelajaran agar diketahui lebih jauh dampak positif dari penggunaan media smart card. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana media smart card memberikan dampak terhadap pemahaman Bahasa Arab. Oleh karena ini penelitian yang lebih intensif perlu dilakukan agar ke depan penggunaan media ini dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam penggunaannya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 1 orang guru pengajar dan 23 orang siswa kelas 7 di MTs Khairul Muttaqin Lenteng Sumenep. Sedangkan objeknya adalah penggunaan media smart card pada pembelajaran Bahasa Arab kelas 7 di MTs. Khairul Muttaqin Lenteng Sumenep. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengolahan data adalah editing, klasifikasi data, dan interpretasi data dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media smart card di Khairul Muttaqin Lenteng Sumenep terlaksana dengan baik. Proses pembelajaran meliputi perencanaan, seperti pembuatan Modul Ajar, penggunaan media smart card, dan evaluasi pembelajaran berlangsung sebagaimana mestinya. Penggunaan media smart card berdampak baik terhadap antusiasme peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran.  Sedangkan faktor yang mempengaruhi penggunaan media smart card adalah guru Bahasa Arab, sarana dan prasarana, pengalaman guru, siswa, lingkungan madrasah, dan alokasi waktu.

Abstract

The development of globalization and advances in technology have brought significant impacts on the character formation of the younger generation, including within Islamic education. One of the main challenges is the weakening of students’ moral and spiritual values. This article aims to conceptually and through a literature review examine the integration of Islamic character values in Arabic language learning. This study employs a qualitative approach using the library research method on books, journal articles, and relevant scientific publications from the last five years. The findings indicate that Arabic has strategic potential as a medium for character education due to its position as the language of the Qur’an and Hadith. Value integration can be carried out through the selection of value-laden teaching materials, reflective–communicative learning methods, teachers’ role modeling, and holistic evaluation. However, challenges remain, including the dominance of technical–linguistic approaches, limited teaching materials, low pedagogical competence in value education, and weak character evaluation systems. Therefore, a reorientation of learning objectives, strengthening teacher capacity, and developing affective assessment systems are needed so that Arabic language learning can function optimally as a medium for Islamic character formation.
