Abstract

After the Prophet Muhammad passed away, Islamic propagation was carried out the Prophet’s companions, such as Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali, known as Khulafa’ Rashidin (rightly guided caliphs). Their mission of da’wah was never deviated from the teachings of the Prophet, but carried out with different practices. Abu Bakr, for example, paid special attention to the spread of true way of life. Because of his efforts, most Arabs converted to Islam. After Abu Bakr’s caliphate, Umar managed Islamic government and effective administration. At Uthman’s period, he extinguished rebellion that occurred in some areas, and expanded the reign of Islam that halted in the caliphate of Umar. In addition, Uthman’s spectacular effort is the collection and writing of the Quran, later known as the Ottoman Manuscripts. In his period, Ali applied the principle of equality among Muslims, while a political aspect, he was very decisive in supervising his staffs and officials (local authorities).

Abstract

Islam as a thought explain alla aspects of life, both aspects of divinity and humanity aspects that make reconciliation as one of the solutions to face the world`s cucial conditions as result of hostilities and war. Reconcilition in the vacubalary of the Qur`an called islah or peace, which has the important objectives to maintain a relationship, not just among muslim in particular, but for people in general. So in this case, reconciliation can be categorized in several ways, namely reconciliation in temrs of faith or belief and worship, social, moral, also in terms of politics and government law. In the implementation, reconcilitation involves several parties, the parties to the dispute and the mediator in charge of mediating the dispute. Mediator required to act fairly and with dignity an also have sufficient scientific reputation. Disputants are also required to conduct an honest deliberation, do not insult or slander also full awareness and conduct of peace moreover instill on ourselves not to repeat acts tah may lead disunity. It is to realize the concept of brotherhood, harmony maintaining trust and caring between people and to realize the things that are far from disputes and violence, as we as to maintain social balance not only in religious life, but also in the state and nation.

Abstract

Al-Quran as a source of verbatim teachings requires a touch of understanding from humans to explore the meaning and contents. But in the process of touching meaning, often faced with a dilemma. On the one hand it is desirable to understand the meaning of the Qur'an in accordance with scientific and objective provisions, while the other side wants the presence of present reality for the creation of the moral interests and needs of Muslims today. So no wonder if various methodological offers emerge from contemporary Muslim thinkers, although the offer is different in the form of a framework, but is on the one goal that is to realize the nature of the Qur'an Shalihun Likulli Zaman wa Makan, the nature that desires the values universal in the contextualized Al-Quran, so that it can always be relevant in every age and place. Hasan Hanafi is one of the Muslim thinkers who assume that in digging the meaning of the Qur'an should see the needs and reality of Muslims in the Qur'an (subjective), not interpret the Quran as a whole regardless of the needs and guidance of Muslims. By this way, a mufassir is very important to have awareness of praxis as a form of realization of the meaning of the text in every day human life
