Abstract

                                                        AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan (1) motivasi belajar menulis petunjuk, (2) hasil belajar menulis petunjuk, dan (3) motivasi dan hasil belajar menulis petunjuk dengan metode demonstrasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri Satu Atap 3 Sambirejo, Sragen, semester gasal tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 dengan subjek siswa kelas VIII B. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatanmotivasi dan hasil belajar menulis petunjuk dengan metode demonstrasi pada siswa kelas VIII B SMP N Satu Atap 3 Sambirejo semester gasal tahun pelajaran 2013/2014, baik secara teoretis maupun empiris.Kata kunci: metode demonstrasi, motivasi belajar, hasil belajar, menulis petunjuk                                                        AbstractThis research aims at improving (1) the learning motivation of writing procedure texts, (2) the learning outcome of writing procedure texts, and (3) the motivation and the learning outcome of writing procedure texts using demonstrative method. It was a classroom-based action research which involved grade VIII B students ofSMP Negeri Satu Atap 3 Sambirejo, Sragen, in the odd semester of academic year 2013/2014. The study reveals that there has been progress theoretically and empirically on the students’ motivation and learning outcome.Keywords: demonstrative method, learning motivation, learning outcome, writing        procedure texts
