Abstract

This paper presents the design of compact multi-mode microstrip resonator filters for dual-band application. The design is simulated using Advanced Design System (ADS) 2016 software. The benefit of the proposed filter is found to have a dual-mode frequency, where the odd-mode resonant frequency is the fundamental frequency represented by the length of the resonator while the even-mode resonant frequency is represented by the length of the stub. To validate the design, a prototype is fabricated on Rogers RO4003C substrate and measured using PNA Network Analyzer.

Abstract

This paper presents the design and development of the RF power detector for microwave applications that is operating at 2.4GHz using microstrip. The design of diode detector circuit is simulated using Keysight ADS software tool. The design of the diode detector includes the matching network, Schottky diode and the low pass filter. The paper also presents the fabrication and measurement of the designed circuit.

Abstract

This paper presents an antenna as a humidity sensor application to control and monitor the quality of humidity. A passive sensor tag with low cost solution is suggested where it implemented on a low-cost substrate, FR4.  A capacitive sensor that works from 0 to 1.5 GHz is implemented in the design. The capacitive sensor is designed based on a small antenna loaded with a Split ring resonator (SRR). To sense the humidity, the SRR resonator is coated with Kapton, placed on the top of the resonator. To validate the proposed method, a prototype was fabricated. The comparison between simulated and measured reflection coefficient is presented.
