Abstract

The developing of deep learning systems that used for chronic diseases diagnosing is challenge. Furthermore, the localization and identification of objects like white blood cells (WBCs) in leukemia without preprocessing or traditional hand segmentation of cells is a challenging matter due to irregular and distorted of nucleus. This paper proposed a system for computer-aided detection depend completely on deep learning with three models computer-aided detection (CAD3) to detect and classify three types of WBC which is fundamentals of leukemia diagnosing. The system used modified you only look once (YOLO v2) algorithm and convolutional neural network (CNN). The proposed system trained and evaluated on dataset created and prepared specially for the addressed problem without any traditional segmentation or preprocessing on microscopic images. The study proved that dividing of addressed problem into sub-problems will achieve better performance and accuracy. Furthermore, the results show that the CAD3 achieved an average precision (AP) up to 96% in the detection of leukocytes and accuracy 94.3% in leukocytes classification. Moreover, the CAD3 gives report contain a complete information of WBC. Finally, the CAD3 proved its efficiency on the other dataset such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia image database (ALL-IBD1) and blood cell count dataset (BCCD).

Abstract

A master production schedule (MPS) need find a good, perhaps optimal, plan for maximize service levels while minimizing inventory and resource usage. However, these are conflicting objectives and a tradeoff to reach acceptable values must be made. Therefore, several techniques have been proposed to perform optimization on production planning problems based on, for instance, linear and non-linear programming, dynamic-lot sizing and meta-heuristics. In particular, several meta- heuristics have been successfully used to solve MPS problems such as genetic algorithms (GA) and simulated annealing (SA). This paper proposes a memetic algorithm to solve multi-objective master production schedule (MOMPS). The proposed memetic algorithm combines the evolutionary operations of MA (such as mutation and Crossover) with local search operators (swap operator and inverse movement operator) to improve the solutions of MA and increase the diversity of the population). This algorithm has proved its efficiency in solving MOMPS problems compared with the genetic algorithm and simulated annealing. The results clearly showed the ability of the algorithm to evaluate properly how much, when and where extra capacities (overtime) are permitted so that the inventory can be lowered without influencing the level of service.

Abstract

Automatic license plate detection and recognition (ALPD-R) is an important and challenging application for traffic surveillance, traffic safety, security, services purposes and parking management. Generally, traditional image processing routines have been used in ALPD-R. Although the general approaches perform well on ALPD-R, new and efficient approaches are needed to improve the detection accuracies. Thus, in this paper, a new approach, which is based on fusing of multiple faster Regions with convolutional neutral network (faster- RCNN) architectures, is proposed. More specially, the deep learning (DL) is used to detect license plates in given images. The proposed license plate detection method uses three faster- RCNN modules where each faster RCNN module uses a pre-trained CNN model namely AlexNet, VGG16 and VGG19. Each faster-RCNN module is trained independently and their results are fused in fusing layer. Fusing layer use average operator on the X and Y coordinates of the outputs of the Faster-RCNN modules and maximum operator is employed on the width and height outputs of the faster-RCNN modules. A publicly available dataset is used in experiments. The accuracy is used as a performance indicator of the proposed method. For 100 testing images, the proposed method detects the exact location of license plates for 97 images. The accuracy of the proposed method is 97%.

Abstract

Today, finger vein recognition has a lot of attention as a promising approach of biometric identification framework and still does not meet the challenges of the researchers on this filed. To solve this problem, we propose s double stage of feature extraction schemes based localized finger fine image detection. We propose Globalized Features Pattern Map Indication (GFPMI) to extract the globalized finger vein line features basede on using two generated vein image datasets: original gray level color, globalized finger vein line feature, original localized gray level image, and the colored localized finger vein images. Then, two kinds of features (gray scale and texture features) are extracted, which tell the structure information of the whole finger vein pattern in the whole dataset. The recurrent based residual neural network (RNN) is used to identify the finger vein images. The experimental show that the localized colored finger vein images based globalized feature extraction has achieved the higher accuracy (93.49%) while the original image dataset achieved less accuracy by (69.86%).
