Abstract

Abstract

Children are a group that is vulnerable to exposure, also experiencing other problems due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Some of the problems of children affected by the corona virus outbreak, such as child poverty, learning, nutrition, and care and security. Social workers, especially satuan bakti pekerja sosial (sakti peksos) from the Ministry of Social Affairs which are placed in Bandung, are expected to provide protection services for children, especially those affected by Covid-19. This study aims to obtain a deeper picture of the roles of advocates, brokers and educators carried out by Sakti Peksos in Bandung. The researcher used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods with a case study design of the four sakti peksos. The results of this study indicate that children also experience the impact of covid-19, especially in meeting basic needs due to Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB), which are then accessed by social workers. Difficulties of children in meeting their needs are advocated to several related parties, in order to keep children's rights fulfilled. Children's problems are also connected to several source systems that can help overcome children's problems. Sakti Pesos also provides education in the form of information needed by children and families. The role of the educator is not performed optimally by the sakti peksos, due to the lack of understanding of the sakti peksos in providing education by providing online psychosocial support. Sakti peksos also does not understand how to convey the information needed by children and families.

Abstract

Some of the less than optimal withdrawal handlers are a technological engineering challenge. REPORT THERAPY offered to answer the problem. This therapy is the result of technological engineering that integrates Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy and Positive Reinforcement which is assigned with gradual assignments. REPORT THERAPY aims to change a child's withdrawal behavior by changing irrational beliefs into rational ones and providing positive encouragement to maintain the changing behavior. This study aims to test the effectiveness of REPORT in reducing children's withdrawal behavior. The indicators of withdrawal that were measured were speaking incoherently, panicking, avoiding other people, being alone, lowering the head when walking, and lacking concentration. The research method used is single subject research with A-B-A design. Tests were conducted on 3 children aged 17, 15 and 14 years. This study has a length of observation for 15 days, consisting of 5 days of baseline (A1), 5 days of intervention (B), and 5 days of baseline (A2), and between phases are given a break. The results of this study indicate that REPORT therapy is effective in reducing children's withdrawal behavior. Means withdrawing after therapy decreased from before, with a difference in scores of 20.4, 19.4 and 17, respectively. REPORT therapy can be a reference in handling withdrawal and can contribute to the development of social work practice with children.

Abstract

To achieve prosperity, every citizen has the right to receive the services they need. The government then increases people’s access to these services through the Integrated Service and Referral System (SLRT) at the district/city level and networks with the Social Welfare Center (PUSKESOS) at the village/sub-district level. However, unfortunately, many residents still find it difficult to access the basic services they need. This research then aims to develop an engineering model that can solve and meet the needs of the development of Social Health Centers in West Java. This research will be carried out using a descriptive qualitative approach. The data analysis method used is R&D. Then, the data used in this study came from various research results and interviews. The results of this study then produced a referral service model through Puskesos in Indonesia. This model focuses more on strengthening the capacity of social volunteers as Puskesos officers. Through this model, it is hoped that various problems and needs in developing Puskesos in West Java can be resolved.

Abstract

This study investigates collaborative social work practices in the context of female juvenile rehabilitation in Indonesia, focusing on the operationalization of the ATENSI (Social Rehabilitation Assistance) framework. Triggered by the increasing vulnerability of adolescent girls, the research explores how integrated, multi-stakeholder, and trauma-informed approaches can enhance institutional care. While ATENSI offers a policy-level shift toward inclusive and holistic service delivery, its implementation in gender-specific settings remains underexplored. Using a mixed-methods sequential explanatory design, the study combines survey data from 75 social workers with qualitative insights from interviews, focus group discussions, and field observations at two major rehabilitation centers. Findings reveal strong internal collaboration, particularly between social workers and psychologists, but limited integration of vocational trainers and external stakeholders, such as NGOs and local governments. Barriers include digital inequities, absence of trauma-informed SOPs, role ambiguity, and sociocultural taboos related to female trauma. The study contributes both empirical and conceptual advancements to global social work discourse. Empirically, it maps gender-responsive collaboration dynamics in a rarely studied Global South context. Conceptually, it introduces the ATENSI Gender-Responsive Collaborative Framework—an integrative model synthesizing collaborative governance, networked social work, and trauma-informed gender-sensitive practice. This research addresses a critical knowledge gap by offering a scalable, context-adaptive model for institutional rehabilitation systems dealing with compounded vulnerabilities in adolescent girls. Its findings are relevant for international audiences seeking to strengthen collaborative practices in gender-responsive care, particularly in resource-constrained settings.

Abstract

Sexual violence against girls constitutes a serious violation of human rights, with profound physical, psychological, and social consequences that require comprehensive and sustained responses. Within this context, such violence is closely linked to gendered power relations and vulnerabilities shaping girl’s experiences and recovery processes. This study aims to examine social work practice and communication in social rehabilitation for girl survivors of sexual violence at a Handayani Jakarta Service Center in Indonesia. A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving five purposively selected informants, consisting of three social workers, one acting head of the center, and one administrative head; data were analyzed through reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that social rehabilitation is implemented through stages including assessment, service planning, interventions across family, community, and residential settings, as well as monitoring and post-service support, with social workers performing on practice and communication within a survivor-centered approach. The study concludes that strengthening professional capacity, cross-sector coordination, and inclusive strategies is essential to support the sustainable recovery of girl survivors.
