Abstract

To reduce traffic jam caused by various data competitions for channel, we present a low delay and energy efficient network-on-chip with three channels for different type's data. Hence, the transmission for control data between cores won’t be congested by the big amount of data transmitted from caches to core, and it achieves better performance in latency and energy. Our strategy is to make a directive long wire to connect two nodes in the same row or column, and distribute these connective wires to different layers which are connected by 3D stacking technology. In the many-core system applied with this topology, every pair of core-cache nodes are at most 5 hops away while real-time and short control information is transmitted by a 2D mesh network. The experimental results show up to 23% of network latency reduction and up to 15% energy reduction when compared to a 3D network-on-chip. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i12.2764

Abstract

High Output Voltage Based Multiphase Step-Up DC-DC Converter topology with voltage doubler rectifiers is presented in this paper. High output voltage is obtained due to the series combination of voltage doubler rectifiers on the secondary side of high frequency transformers. This topology is useful in the application where the output voltage is greater than the input. The two loop control strategy has been developed in order to analyze the stable and effective working of the converter topology. Therefore the working mode analysis of the converter topology has been described in detail. The multiphase step-up DC-DC converter topology is first simulated on MATLAB and then a prototype has been designed in order to verify the simulation and experimental results. Finally the simulation and experimental results are found to be satisfactory. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i2.1856

Abstract

The dental implant surgical applications full of risk because of the complex anatomical architecture of craio-maxillofacial area. Therefore, the surgeons move towards computer-aided planning for surgeries and then implementation using robotic assisted tele-operated techniques. This study divided into four main parts. The first part is developed by computer-aided surgical planning by image modalities .The second part is based on Virtual Surgical Environment through virtual force feedback haptic device. The third part is implemented the experimental surgery by integrating the prototype surgical manipulator with the haptic device poses using inverse kinematics method. The fourth part based on monitoring the robotic manipulator pose by using image guided navigation system to calculate the position error of the surgical manipulator. Thus, this tele-robotic system is able to comprehend the sense of complete practice, improve skills and gain experience of the surgeon during the surgery. Finally, the experimental outcomes show in satisfactory boundaries. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3124

Abstract

This paper explores a configuration for boost half bridge DC-DC converters, connected in parallel at the input and series at the output, such that the converters share the input current and load voltage equally. A stable control scheme has been developed to achieve this objective. In order to verify the effectiveness and stability of control scheme, input-parallel output-series (IPOS) connected boost half bridge (BHB) DC-DC Converter has been simulated for the different load conditions such as for fixed load, half load and continuously varying load. The results are found to be satisfactory at each load condition and validate the proposed converter structure. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i5.4188
