Abstract

It is proven in the Qur'an that several verses textually seem to command Muslims to commit violence (qital verse). This paper attempts to elaborate on the contextual interpretation of QS Muhammad verse 4 and QS at Taubah verse 5. Two verses that extremist Islamic groups often misinterpret to legitimize their destructive acts. The interpretation is carried out using Fazlur Rahman's hermeneutical methodology, double movement. The interpretation results show that the two verses contain moral values in war. Namely, war must be reactive, use the ethics of "violence," and be the last option. The main mission of warfare in the Qur'an is to construct the benefit of humanity in the world by destroying every evil. In the socio-historical context of contemporary Indonesia, the practice of these two verses is among others the basis for arguments to refute the textual interpretation of extremist Islamic groups, combating hoax issues and condemning corruption because this is part of the crime that is rife in Indonesia and has great potential to divide the unity of the Indonesian nationTerbukti dalam al Qur’an terdapat beberapa ayat yang secara tekstualis seolah memerintahkan umat Islam untuk berbuat kekerasan (ayat qital). Tulisan ini berupaya untuk mengelaborasi penafsiran kontekstual Q.S Muhammad ayat 4 dan Q.S at Taubah ayat 5. Dua ayat yang seringkali dimisinterpretasikan oleh kelompok Islam ekstrimis untuk melegitimasi tindak destruktifnya. Penafsiran dilakukan dengan menggunakan metodologi hermenutika milik Fazlur Rahman, double movement. Hasil dari penafsiran menunjukkan bahwa kedua ayat tersebut mengandung nilai moral dalam peperangan yaitu peperangan harus bersifat reaktif, menggunakan etika “kekerasan” dan menjadi opsi terakhir. Misi utama peperangan dalam al Qur’an adalah untuk mengkonstruk kemaslahatan manusia di dunia dengan membumihanguskan setiap kejahatan. Dalam konteks sosio-historis Indonesia kontemporer, pengamalan kedua ayat tersebut di antaranya sebagai landasan dalil untuk menyanggah penafsiran tekstualis kelompok Islam ekstrimis, memerangi isu hoax dan mengecam tindak korupsi. Sebab hal tersebut merupakan bagian dari tindak kejahatan yang marak terjadi di Indonesia serta berpotensi besar memecah belah persatuan bangsa Indonesia

Abstract

This paper seeks to elaborate on the textual interpretation of Q.S Muhammad verse 4 and Q.S at Taubah verse 5. These two verses are often employed by the extremist Muslim groups to legitimize their destructive acts carried out on groups considered as being infidels and as such lawfully killed. The interpretation was conducted using the double movement hermeneutics methodology offered by Fazlur Rahman. After reinterpretation, the two verses contain moral values, namely the war ordered by God must be reactive, fulfill the ethics of "violence" and be the last solution. Broadly speaking, the warfare commanded in the Qur'an aims to establish a benefit for humanity on the face of the earth by eliminating every crime that exists. These two verses in the contemporary socio-historical context in Indonesia can be implemented as a basis for combating the issue of hoaxes and destructive acts of extremist Muslim groups. Because both are crimes and have negative implications for the people good and even able to threaten the unity of mankind.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine da’wah strategy through social media type facebook and instagram by targeting Muslim teenager as object of da’wah. Teens must be empowered morally and spiritually because adolescents have a big part in determining the quality of civilization nation and religion. The result of this research reveals that da’wah strategy in facebook and instagram must be representative that is with creative way to be effective. Thus the purpose of communication propaganda that is the change of behavior, attitude or deeds with the content and hope of the message disampaiakn and the realization of the righteous deeds are deeds in harmony with messages (treatise) al-Quran and Sunnah will be more easily achieved. One of the simplest da’wah that can be done is by simple preaching through creative, unique and full-length video and video content with short video durations. With the moral and spiritual flight superior to Muslim teenagers, the necessity of Islamic civilization in pursuit of its glory will experience acceleration.
