Abstract

Writing this article aims to provide an understanding that citation is one of the important parts that support an article so that it has a high scientific weight. In addition, to determine the age level of the cited literature. This is important to know the current element in presenting the information. As a scientific magazine, WIPA needs to be selective in accepting manuscripts, especially citations used, because in library science the age of information sources is around 9-14 years. This study observes citation sources that have been used by the WIPA (UAJY Library Information Forum) writer for a period of 5 years, namely 2017 to 2022. The method used in this study is the quantitative method, by observing the bibliography as a data collection method. Data analysis is described descriptively, the data is reviewed and then calculated through the distribution of frequencies and percentages. The results showed that within 5 years, the citation used in the form of a book was 74.29%. The use of Indonesian-language literature dominates citations in WIPA Magazine in 2017-2022, which is 378 or 76.52%. For writers that wrote at WIPA in 2017 – 2022, there were more internal writers (51%) and individuals (68.6%). Meanwhile, in terms of the age of publication, the existing citations are dominated by literature published in the last 10 years (2012 – 2022) which is 48%. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that WIPA has been selective in the selection of articles published by considering the age of the citation so that the information presented will always be up to date. Quantitatively, the number of writers is balanced with UAJY library writers and writers outside UAJY. This strength can be a trigger for WIPA's plan to switch to an electronic journal by considering aspects of publishing routines with manuscripts that always have a high original value. Keywords: Citation, Citation Analysis, Collection, WIPA, Bibliometrics.   ABSTRAK Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman bahwa sitasi merupakan salah satu bagian penting yang mendukung suatu tulisan sehingga mempunyai bobot ilmiah yang tinggi. Selain itu, untuk mengetahui tingkat usia literatur yang disitir. Hal ini penting dilakukan untuk mengetahui unsur kekinian dalam menyajikan informasi. Sebagai majalah ilmiah, WIPA perlu selektif dalam menerima naskah khususnya sitasi yang dipergunakan, karena dalam ilmu perpustakaan usia sumber informasi adalah sekitar 9-14 tahun. Penelitian ini melakukan pengamatan pada sumber-sumber sitasi yang telah dipergunakan penulis WIPA (Wahana Informasi Perpustakaan UAJY) dalam kurun waktu selama 5 tahun yaitu tahun 2017 sampai dengan 2022. Metode yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif, dengan melakukan   pengamatan terhadap daftar pustaka sebagai metode pengumpulan datanya. Analisis data dijabarkan secara deskriptif, data diulas kemudian dihitung melalui distribusi frekuensi dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dalam kurun waktu 5 tahun, sitasi yang dipergunakan dalam bentuk buku yaitu sebesar 74,29%. Penggunaan literatur berbahasa Indonesia mendominasi sitiran dalam majalah WIPA tahun 2017-2022, yaitu sebanyak 378 atau 76,52%. Untuk penulis yang menulis di WIPA tahun 2017 – 2022 lebih banyak penulis intern (51%) dan perorangan (68,6%). Sedangkan dari segi usia tahun terbit, sitasi yang ada didominasi oleh literatur yang terbit 10 tahun terakhir (2012 – 2022) yaitu sebesar 48%. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa WIPA sudah selektif dalam pemilihan artikel yang dimuat dengan mempertimbangkan usia sitiran sehingga informasi-informasi yang disajikan akan selalu up to date. Secara kuantitas jumlah penulis sudah berimbang antara penulis perpustakaan UAJY dan penulis luar UAJY. Kekuatan ini dapat menjadi trigger bagi rencana WIPA untuk beralih menjadi electronic journal dengan mempertimbangkan aspek rutinitas penerbitan dengan naskah-naskah yang selalu mempunyai nilai orisinal yang tinggi.   Kata Kunci: Sitasi, Analisis Sitasi, Koleksi, WIPA, Bibliometrik.

Abstract

Advances in information technology bring consequences for a change in the system of order and structure of world society. Service transformation is a hope for service users to get access quickly without the limitations of space and time. The library as the unit responsible for knowledge sharing should hurry to take advantage of digital technology as an effort to provide assistance to users to obtain information. Electronic information that can be accessed online. The method used is descriptive qualitative, in order to explore and understand the meaning of the existing problems. The theoretical basis used is the theory of change and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The results obtained are that digital technology has become an inseparable part in the lives of millennial users. Millennial users have benefited from the use of digital technology, namely access to information quickly and precisely. Users feel comfortable and helped by using online services that can be accessed whenever and wherever they are. For this reason, libraries are expected to always update information about digital literacy education so that users will get information as expected. Digital technology is also used in various social media and has become part of the millennial lifestyle. In this case, the professionalism of the librarian is at stake in order to face the implementation of information technology in the library which cannot be denied. Librarians are expected to be able to adapt to technological developments, so that they can design, develop and package information that will be served digitally as a retrieval system that makes it easier about users to find information.

UAJY supports units have adjusted the policy by providing online services. This of course will make it difficult for libraries to serve their collections. Service that was originally carried out face-to-face must be done online, such as book lending services, which can no longer be done in person. In order to continue to be able to assist users in accessing the information provided, library services are emphasized on online services such as electronic books (e-books) and electronic journals (e-journals). The presence of a collection of e-books and e-journals is expected to be able to meet the needs of users in finding reference sources. This research will be prioritized to explore answers to the following questions: How do students perceive online services to support to study performance? To what extent is the level of use of online collections (e-books and e-journals) in supporting to study performance? The method of this research is descriptive quantitative. Quantitative research with descriptive format aims to explain, summarize various conditions, situations, or variables that arise in the community that are the object of research based on what happened.

Abstract

Sebagai kelanjutan dari perkembangan teknologi informasi adalah semakin terbukanya jaringan internet yang memungkinkan terjadinya komunikasi tanpa dinding danwaktu dan bagi perpustakaan mengakibatkan terbukanyalayanan –layanan berbasis digital sehingga akan semakin mempermudahdiseminasi informasi yang dimiliki oleh sebuah perpustakaan. Koleksi-koleksi tercetak yang semula menjadi koleksi utama dalam sebuah perpustakaan maka sekarang mulai didampingi dengan koleksi-koleksi digital yang lambat laun semakin menggeser peran koleksi tercetak. Perubahanparadigma pun akan berubah sehingga perpustakaan digital akan semakin menjadi layanan masa depan yang akan membantu dalam penyebaran informasi dan pustakawan akan berperan untuk memberikan jasa layanan yang semakin kompleks tidak saja sekedar menyebarkan namun juga bertanggungjawab dalam seleksi untuk digunakan sebagai sumber rujukan pemustaka. Apalagi dengan fenomena hoax maka tugas pustakawan akan menjadi semakin berat. Maka profesionalis menjadi kata kunci bagi pustakawan untuk terus diperjuangkan agar masyarakat mengetahui bahwa profesi pustakawan merupakan profesi yang mempunyaitanggungjawab yang besar dalam penyediaan informasi yang sehat

Abstract

A B S T R A C T Libraries in the present era are faced with millennial users who have a lifestyle that is very much the opposite of the previous generation so that libraries also experience a transformation in serving users. The characteristics of users are very different so that librarians must understand their habits, behavior, passions and lifestyle. With this research it is hoped that it will be known to what extent users have used the UAJY library website as an effort to support their study performance. By understanding this research, the UAJY library will know to what extent the benefits of this website service and how users perceive the services provided to be considered by the library in managing the UAJY library website. With the hypothesis that there is a positive relationship between interest in access to the quality of service information through the UAJY library website and there is a positive relationship between onsite visits to the information quality/clarity of information on the UAJY library website, this research will prove that the library website is able to answer the needs of users. From this research, the researcher can conclude that the information presented on the UAJY library website is of high quality with the characteristics of the level of community trust in the software on the website. The content of the UAJY library website is crucial and it is the commitment of the managers to always update content and interactive factors. Communication between users and librarians is crucial to get attention so that there is a guarantee that any user difficulties in information can find a way out through good communication relationships. well with the UAJY librarian. Karakteristik pemustaka menjadi sangat berbeda sehingga pustakawan harus memahami kebiasaan, perilaku, passion dan juga gaya hidup mereka Dengan penelitian ini diharapkan akan diketahui sampai sejauh mana para pemustaka telah menggunakan website perpustakaan UAJY sebagai upaya untuk mendukung kinerja studi mereka. Dengan memahami penelitian ini pihak perpustakaan UAJY akan mengetahui sampai seberapa besar manfaat dari layanan website ini serta bagaimana persepsi pemustaka terhadap layanan yang diberikan agar menjadi pertimbangan pihak perpustakaan dalam mengelola website perpustakaan UAJY. Dengan hipotesis bahwa ada hubungan positif antara minat akses terhadap kualitas informasi layanan melalui website perpustakaan UAJY dan ada hubungan positif antara kunjungan onsite terhadap kualitas informasi/kejelasan informasi yang ada pada website perpustakaan UAJY, maka dalam penelitian ini akan dibuktikan bahwa website perpustakaan mampu menjawab kebutuhan pemustaka. Dari penelitian ini peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa informasi yang disajikan pada website perpustakaan UAJY berkualitas dengan ciri-ciri tingkat kepercayaan civitas terhadap software pada website tetap mendapatkan prioritas utama sehingga pemeliharaan maintenance dan upaya-upaya pemeliharaan agar website terbebas dari hack terus menerus untuk dilakukan oleh pengelola serta konten website perpustakaan UAJY merupakan hal yang krusial dan menjadi komitmen dari para pengelola untuk selalu memperbarui konten dan faktor interaktif komunikasi antara pemustaka dan pustakawan merupakan hal yang krusial untuk mendapatkan perhatian sehingga ada jaminan bahwa setiap kesulitan pemustaka dalam informasi dapat ditemukan jalan keluar melalui hubungan komunikasi yang baik dengan pustakawan UAJY.
