<![CDATA[The Covid-19 pandemic is a challenge for the hotel industry in Indonesia. The occupancy rate fell to 15.6% and 27,607 hotel companies closed their operations in 2020. The hotel industry has a major role in sustaining the economy and employment in some regions. The disruption to hotel industry activities will disrupt the economy in the region. To support the recovery process, the government and stakeholders need to develop policies and strategic measures for the hotel industry. This study aims to provide an update on the situation and development of the hospitality industry recovery program using qualitative analysis methods through literature studies, group discussions, and interviews with business actors. The results found that the crisis management approach is suitable for the formulation of recovery policies. However, the existing crisis management approach needs to be adapted to the unpredictable Covid-19 pandemic situation. On the other hand, the hotel industry needs support for expanding market access, increasing attractiveness, human resource capacity, MICE events and activities, supporting digitalization infrastructure, loosening and simplifying regulations to accelerate the recovery. The implication emphasizes on the need to review the regulations on the tourism crisis management to focus on recovery measures for the industry. ABSTRAKPandemi Covid-19 memberikan tantangan tersendiri bagi industri perhotelan di Indonesia untuk dapat bertahan. Tingkat penghunian kamar hotel sempat menyentuh 15,6% dan menyebabkan 27.607 usaha akomodasi tutup pada 2020. Industri perhotelan memiliki peran besar dalam menopang perekonomian dan menyediakan lapangan kerja di beberapa daerah. Adanya disrupsi terhadap aktivitas industri perhotelan akan mengganggu perekonomian daerah tersebut. Untuk membantu proses pemulihan, pemerintah dan para pemangku kepentingan perlu menyusun kebijakan dan langkah-langkah strategis untuk industri perhotelan. Studi ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pembaruan terhadap situasi dan perkembangan program pemulihan industri perhotelan dengan metode analisis kualitatif melalui studi literatur, diskusi kelompok, dan wawancara kepada para pelaku industri. Hasil studi ini menemukan bahwa pendekatan manajemen krisis cocok untuk digunakan dalam penyusunan kebijakan pemulihan. Namun, pendekatan manajemen krisis yang ada perlu disesuaikan dengan situasi pandemi Covid-19 yang sulit diprediksi. Di sisi lain, pelaku industri perhotelan membutuhkan dukungan perluasan akses pasar, peningkatan daya tarik, kapasitas SDM, event dan kegiatan MICE, infrastruktur pendukung digitalisasi, pelonggaran aturan, serta penyederhanaan regulasi untuk mempercepat pemulihan. Implikasi studi menekankan perlunya peninjauan kembali peraturan tentang penanganan krisis kepariwisataan agar lebih fokus pada langkah-langkah pemulihan industri.]]>
