Abstract

Tujuan penelitian menganalisis efektivitas penyidikan tindak pidana cyber crime di Kepolisian Resort Kota Besar Makassar; dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi. Metode penelitian menggunakan tipe penelitian yuridis empiris. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penyidikan tindak pidana cyber crime yang ditangani Polrestabes Makassar kurang efektif. Dengan demikian kurang efektifnya penyidikan tersebut mengakibatkan adanya tunggakan perkara setiap tahun. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efektivitas penyidikan tindak pidana cyber crime yang dilaporkan ke Polrestabes Makassar adalah faktor substansi hukum, faktor aparat penegak hukum, faktor sarana dan prasarana, serta faktor kesadaran hukum masyarakat. The research objective is to analyze the effectiveness of the investigation of cyber crime at the Makassar City Police; and analyze the influencing factors. The research method uses empirical juridical research type. The results of this study indicate that the investigation of cyber crime which is handled by the Makassar Police is less effective. Thus the ineffectiveness of these investigations results in delinquent cases every year. Factors that affect the effectiveness of the investigation of cyber crime reported to the Makassar Police are legal substance factors, law enforcement factors, facilities and infrastructure factors, as well as community legal awareness factors.
