Abstract

Abstract— Plant germination is the beginning of a new individual's growth marked by the appearance of a radicle at the seed testa. This research aims to determine the effect of long immersion towards germination and growth of King Palm. This study used an experimental method with Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 4 treatments and 4 repetitions. Those treatments were treatment of P0 (control), P1 (immersion for 24 hours), P2 (immersion for 48 hours) and P3 (immersion for 72 hours). The data obtained was analyzed by variance analysis and continued with BNT test. Based on observations, King Palm seed germination is hypogeal, because cotyledons (keeping seeds) remain in the soil. King palm seeds with immersion treatment do not significantly affect germination. Likewise, immersion time does not significantly affect the height of shoots aged 55 days after seedling. The treatment of immersion time for King Palm seeds significantly affected the root length at the age of 55 days after seedling. After the BNT test, the effect of immersion towards the root length showed that 48 hours of immersion treatment had the best effect. The 48-hour immersion treatment for the King Palm plant nursery is recommended to be done by ornamental plant farmers and ornamental plant breeders to accelerate the growth process.Keywords—: King's Palm, Germination, Growth, Hypogeal.

Abstract

Abstract— The present study was aimed at finding out the effect of planting space and manure provision on the growth and yield of peanuts (Arachis hypogaea L.). This study was conducted at Kebun Percobaan of Soerjo Ngawi University, located at a height level of more or less 65 meters above sea level. The temperature was about 20-35 oC. The research was conducted from April to June 2019. This study used a factorial experiment using Random Group Design (RGD) consisting of two factors and 9 combined treatments, repeated 3 times. The first factor was planting space consisting of 3 levels including 10 x 30 cm (J1), 15 x 30 cm (J2), 20 x 30 cm (J3), and manure provision with three levels without fertilization (P0), 5 kg of rumen fertilizer and 10 ml/l (P1) of cow urine, 5 kg of rabbit manure and 10 ml/1 (P2). According to the observation on the effect of space planting on the growth of peanut, planting space of 15 x 30 cm (J2) is considered the best compared to those of 10 x 30 cm (J1) and 20 x 30 cm (J3) as shown in the observation of plant height at 45 days after planting (27.67), the number of leaves (372.07) and the number of branches (8.71). Whereas from the results of the observation of the effect of spacing on peanut yields, the planting space of 20 x 30 cm (J3) is the best compared to those of 10 x 30 cm (J1) and 15 x 30 cm (J2) as shown in the observation of the number of filled peas (21.33). , dry pea weight per plot (1,150) and dry weight of 100 seeds (44.82). The results of the observation of the effect of planting space on peanut yield, the plant spacing of 15 x 30 cm (J2) is superior on dry pea weight per plant (34.89) and the lowest number of empty peas (2.04). The study comes to the conclusion that the effect of manure on the growth of peanut, rabbit manure (p1) which was considered the best among (p0) and (p2) shown in the observation of plant height (45 hst (30.80), number of leaves (367.04) and number of branches (8.82). The observation result of the manure provision effect on the peanuts using cow rumen manure (p2) is considered the best compared to (p0) and (p1) shown in the observation on the number of filled peas (20.77), dry weight per plot (1,260) and weight of 100 seeds (44.64).  Keywords—: planting space; manure; growth; peanut; yield.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah dosis pupuk yang tepat dan jenis varietas dengan respon terbaik terhadap pupuk, guna memperoleh produksi maksimal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan Eancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan pola factorial. Percobaan ini terdiri dua faktor dengan 3 kali ulangan. Faktor I; dosis pupuk (P) terdiri 3 taraf yaitu: P1 (200g organik +50g an organik ), P2 (300g organik +100g an organik), P3(400 g organik +150g an organik). faktor ke II ; Varietas yaitu: V1 (Ciherang), V2(IR-64) dan V3(Impari Sidenuk). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, perlakuan pemberian dosis pupuk pada tanaman padi umur 14Hst berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dengan nilai Fhitung 4,59. Perlakuan dosis pupuk P1 (200+50g) menghasilkan tinggi tanaman rata-rata 34,87cm berpengaruh nyata dengan perlakuan pemberian pupuk P3(400+150g) dengan hasil tinggi tanaman rata-rata 37,42cm. Perlakuan pemberian dosis pupuk memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata terhdapat jumlah anakan padi pada 28 Hst dengan nilai F hitung 7,06. Pemberian dosis pupuk P1(200+50g) menghasilkan jumlah anakan paling banyak dan berpengaruh nyata dengan perlakuan P2 (300+100g). Varietas padi memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah bulir 65Hst dengan nilai F hitung 5,76. V3 (Inpari Sidenuk) menghasilkan jumlah bulir 2415,68 berbeda nyata dengan Ciherang dan IR-64. Perlakuan pemberian dosis pupuk berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap berat sampel padi dengan nilai F hitung 15,28. Perlakuan pemberian dosis pupuk P1(200+50g) memberikan hasil berat 153,56 g berbeda sangat nyata dengan perlakuan P3(400+150g) yang menghasilkan berat 114,44g. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah perlakuan pemberian pupuk organik 400g dan anorganik 150 g memberikan hasil tinggi tanaman rata-rata tertinggi pada 14 Hst. Varietas Inpari Sidenuk menghasilkan jumlah bulir padi rata-rata paling banyak 2415,68. Disarankan petani menanam padi varietas Inpari Sidenuk untuk menghasilkan produksi yang tinggi.
