Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan ingin memaparkan tentang identitas ciri pokok orang Melayu yakni: Berbahasa Melayu, Beradat Istiadat dan beragama Islam. Penelitian yang digunakan dalam kajian ini dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat Library Research, sedangkan hasil penelitian ini dalam teori bahwa ketiga ciri pokok identitas Melayu suatu hal yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat Melayu dalam hal ini terlihat dalam kehidupan masyarakat Melayu Riau. Kata Kunci: Masyarakat, Melayu Riau, Budaya Abstract This study aims to describe the identity of the main characteristics of the Malays, namely: speaking Malay, having customs and being Muslim. The research used in this study is a qualitative research type (Library Research) while the results of this study are in theory that the three main characteristics of Malay identity are something that is owned by the Malay community in this case seen in the life of the Riau Malay community.
