Abstract

In the electronic devices, there are so many functions that we can use to make life easier. In the city especially, nearly all of them use technology as the system, it can also be used to store data, measuring data to help the others quantitative and qualitatively. One of the things that is very useful is the weather station, where the weather station used in the city to maintain the humidity, the intensity of the light, and the temperature. But in the rural areas, somehow the weather station is not available because of the limitation of the technology itself. And also, sometimes the place that we want to measure with is quite dangerous because there are so many predators. Because of that, we’ve come up to the new brand technology called Automatic Wireless Mobile Weather Station. This device helps us to measure the rural areas, dangerous places, using robot with wireless connection with weather station features. This device can be implemented into a moving robot and can also send us the data to the mobile phones through Bluetooth technology, and also it can measure the humidity, temperature, and the intensity of the light (unit of lux). Finally, the data can be controlled 24 hours through wireless connection, so we don’t really need to go into the location because we can control it using this Automatic Wireless Mobile Weather Station.

Abstract

As a result of the production of powder processing causes a lot of dust around the production machine and factory. This of course can cause pollution. Dust needs to be collected using a Dust Collector (DC) machine. The controller on the DC machine at PT. xxx is often damaged in the control unit and requires repairs at a cost of around Rp. 5,000,000 per unit. In facts there are about 10 units of machines at PT.xxx that must work all. Because of DC machines are often damaged in their controllers, the maintenance department made a development to make replacement DC machine controllers. Namely using the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). This PLC replaces the microcontroller unit on the DC machine, PLC uses ladder diagram programming language that is easily understood by some people working in the world of control. PLC parts that are easily found in the market and programming languages that are easy to understand and reliability make one of the reasons this PLC is used to replace the microcontroller unit.

Abstract

Minesweeper Warship KRI Pulau Rupat 712 needs stability when sails at the sea. Stability control system has had some problems due to their electronic life time equipment, remembering that this ship was made by Holland in 1984 (more than 30 years ago). Rejuvenation of control system is needed in order that its stability system is still can be functioned. Current control system use electronics card which is rather difficult to be repaired when it is broken. PLC is one of the solutions to change the electronics card system because PLC is easy to install and using programming system which is also easy to learn and having been used by a lot of industry likes automotive, food and beverage, oil and gas, textile, and etc. Some of the old instruments still can be used because PLC can support them, except there are few instruments that must be changed and added, for example: must change the gyro sensor and add the soft button HMI to change the hard button.
