Abstract

This article aims to re-understand the term al-bay where the context of the revelation of the Koran is different from the technology-based transaction model in the modern era. This article aims to answer the question of how al-Bay's understanding accordances the historical context, the understanding of the commentators and their relevance to technology-based buying and selling transactions in the modern era. These questions are discussed using the mauḍū'ī interpretation method with a library database. The approach used is historical critical. This article shows that the word al-bay' in the Qur'an indicates an effort to seek profit in worldly affairs, especially economics and an effort to seek divine pleasure as provisions for the afterlife in ukhrawi affairs. The historical meaning of al-bay is buying and selling transactions carried out by human beings prioritizing maṣlaḥat and avoiding mafsadat. Meanwhile, technology-based transactions contain al-bay values if they fulfill their willingness, are useful, help each other and are not prohibited. In addition, technology-based buying and selling transactions must prioritize benefit and avoid mafsadat as the purpose of the birth of the term al-Bay in the Koran.

Abstract

Business transactions in the modern era require the use of technology and information. The sale and purchase contract is a familiar type of business transaction. Buying and selling has been practiced since ancient times. Nevertheless, modern development is taking place. All human transactions are governed by the Qur'an. Buying (al-bay') is one of the studies discussed in the Qur'an. The meaning and definition of al-bay' in the Qur'an differ from one letter to the next. This research reveals how the Qur'an views the concept of al-bay' in general. This study employed a maudu>'i> interpretation study approach in its library research. This maudu>'i interpretation study is used to explore data about al-bay' then explained based on the Koran's interpretation. The findings indicate that the word al-bay' in the Koran has two meanings. To begin, al-bay' discusses economic issues, particularly purchasing and selling transactions. So al-bay' is always associated with profit in worldly affairs. This is the meaning of al-bay', which is widely debated among Islamic economists. While eating al-bay', the second discusses the issue of ukhrawi life and faith. The meaning that emerges as a result of the modern world's conditions is that al-bay' is associated with the economic field. The truth is that economic conditions are rapidly changing, and one example is online buying transactions.

Abstract

The increasing challenges faced by students in learning mathematics, particularly in managing academic anxiety and emotional stress, highlight the need for innovative teaching methods that not only focus on cognitive skills but also foster emotional intelligence. This study aims to investigate the role of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in enhancing students' emotional intelligence, specifically within the context of mathematics education. The research employs a literature review approach, synthesizing findings from various studies to explore how PBL influences emotional and social development alongside academic performance. The findings reveal that PBL significantly improves students' self-awareness, emotional regulation, and social skills by fostering a collaborative learning environment where real-world problems are solved in teams. However, the study also identifies challenges in PBL implementation, such as the complexity of project design and insufficient teacher training in integrating emotional intelligence into mathematics learning. Addressing these challenges through targeted teacher training is essential to fully realize the potential of PBL. The conclusion emphasizes that PBL not only enhances cognitive and emotional development but also promotes educational equity by narrowing academic achievement gaps among students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has transformed marketing practices for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), offering new opportunities for outreach, cost efficiency, and strategic positioning. In Indonesia, where the majority of consumers are Muslim, the effectiveness of digital marketing is not only shaped by technological adaptability but also by alignment with Islamic ethical values. Integrating sharia-compliant principles—such as transparency, justice, and trustworthiness—into digital marketing strategies is increasingly seen as a pathway to fostering stronger consumer trust and enhancing post-purchase satisfaction. This study aims to examine how sharia-compliant digital marketing influences customer trust and satisfaction within the SME marble industry and to assess the managerial-economic efficiency of such strategies. Adopting a mixed-methods approach, the research combines a case study of a marble SME that applies halal-themed digital campaigns with a survey of customers familiar with these practices. The findings suggest that embedding Islamic ethical values into digital marketing communications positively shapes consumer perception, reinforces brand credibility, and contributes to greater satisfaction. From a managerial economics perspective, these strategies demonstrate enhanced cost-effectiveness and greater market responsiveness compared to traditional offline methods. In conclusion, the integration of sharia-compliant values within digital marketing offers dual strategic advantages: fulfilling the ethical and spiritual expectations of consumers while simultaneously delivering sustainable and competitive economic outcomes for SMEs.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia holds the largest Muslim population in the world, yet its Islamic economy remains defined almost entirely through banking and financial industry metrics. Islamic banking assets surpassed IDR 1,050 trillion by early 2026, but market share stayed near 7.5 to 8 percent, a gap that widens further once financial literacy and regulatory barriers facing MSMEs enter the picture. This paper argues that Indonesian Islamic economics suffers from a financialization tendency inherited from its own unexamined epistemological history, one that measures success through asset growth rather than through maqasid al-shariah's original concern with removing harm and drawing benefit at the community level. Using qualitative library research combined with critical discourse analysis, and drawing selectively on prior fieldwork among thirty Muslim MSME producers in Tulungagung Regency, this study builds its argument around four interlocking pillars: decolonial Islamic thought, a reworked reading of maqasid as a socioeconomic ethic rather than a compliance checklist, indigenous Islamic economic practice, and the lived rationality of Indonesian Muslim society. Findings show a persistent disconnect between formal Islamic finance discourse and gotong royong-based economic practice, which survives strongly at the community level but rarely enters policy vocabulary on its own terms except when mined for product design. Fieldwork illustrations, including informal credit extended during Ramadan without a formal contract, demonstrate maqasid functioning directly at the grassroots without institutional mediation. The paper contributes a reorientation toward community-grounded Islamic economic scholarship, treating indigenous practice as primary analytical data rather than an ethnographic supplement, and calls for future empirical work testing this reorientation beyond a single regency.
