Abstract

ABSTRACT   The experiment was conducted in the village of Touure, Tompaso District, Minahasa regency since April to August 2013. Designed studies using randomized block design with 3 treatments, namely fruit extract Bitung (treatment A), tuba root extract (treatment B) and water (control treatment), each treatment was repeated 3 times. Results showed that that the extract of Barringtonia asiatica and Derris elliptica has a botanical insecticide to control the properties of N. tenuis. Applications B. asiatica extract and D. elliptica were not significantly different, but both are significantly different from controls. In addition to N. tenuis found several Plant Pest Organisms (OPT) that attack tomato plants including pest Liriomyza sp., leafhoppers tomatoes., black stem base diseases, leaf spot diseases and viral diseases. Key words : Botanic Insecticide, Tomato pest control ABSTRAK   Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Toure, Kecamatan Tompaso, Kabupaten Minahasa sejak bulan April sampai dengan Agustus 2013.  Penelitian dirancang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 3 perlakuan yaitu ekstrak buah bitung (perlakuan A), ekstrak akar tuba (perlakuan B) dan air (perlakuan kontrol) yang masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa ekstrak Barringtonia asiatica dan Derris elliptica memiliki sifat insektisida botanis untuk mengendalikan N. tenuis. Aplikasi ekstrak B. asiatica dan D. elliptica tidak berbeda nyata, namun keduanya berbeda nyata dengan kontrol.  Selain N. tenuis ditemukan juga beberapa Organisme Pengganggu Tanaman (OPT) yang menyerang tanaman tomat diantaranya hama Liriomyza sp., wereng tomat., penyakit pangkal batang hitam, penyakit bercak daun dan penyakit virus. Abstract

ABSTRACT The research aimed to find out the attacks and pest populations Scotinophara sp. in rice crops have been carried out in EastBolaang Mongondow from July to October 2014. The study used survey methods at several centers of rice cultivation in East Bolaang Mongondow, then set three districts as a test site where sampling. Sampling using Method Diagonal slices then select ten clump of rice plants in each sub-sample plots. Samples were taken at vegetative stage and generative phase. Things were observed in this study is the percentage of infected plants and pest populations. The results showed that the highest percentage of infected rice plants in the age of the plants 8 weeks after plants are found in Sub Tutuyan amounted to 66.66 percent and the lowest sequentially the District Nuangan and the District Kotabunan namely 39.33 percent and 11.13 percent.The highest Scotinophara sp. population density was found based on the location is district Tutuyan 10,11 tail and the lowest sequentially District Nuangan and the District Kotabunan is 1.82 and 0.96 tail. The density of the population by age of the plant, the highest in the plant age 8 mst 12.75 and the lowest sequentially 6, 4 and 2 mst is4.38, 0.06 and 0 tail.Keywords : attack, population, Scotinophara sp., rice plant

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the pest insects that attack copra commodities and determine thepopulation density of each type or species of pest insects that attack copra in Tobelo District,North Halmahera Regency. The research method used was a survey method. The survey wasconducted at a copra warehouse in Rawajaya Village, Gosoma Village, and Wosia VillageTobelo District, North Halmahera Regency. Sampling uses the method "Purposive Sampling"which is deliberate sampling at copra warehouses that have been attacked by pests. Observationswere carried out 5 times with one week observation time intervals. The results of the studyfound six types of pest insects in copra commodities in Tobelo District, North HalmaheraRegency, namely Necrobia rufipes De Geer, Carpophilus dimidiatus F, Tribolium castaneumHbst, Dermestes sp., Sitophylus sp. and Ephestia cautela walk. The highest average populationdensity of pest insects is N. rufipes, population density is 116.57 tails per 500 gr copra, followedby C. dimidiatus, population densities 16.67 tails per 500 gr copra, T. castaneum, populationdensity 14.53 tails per 500 gr copra, Dermestes sp., densely populated 4.57 tails per 500 grcopra), E. cautella, population densities 0.33 tails per 500 gr copra and Sitophilus sp., populationdensities 0.06 tails per 500 gr copra.Keywords : Inventory, Pest Insect, Copra
