Abstract

This research motivated by the need of teaching material in the learning process. The teaching material is expected to facilitate and guide the students to learn independently and to make easier in finding and understanding the concept correctly. There is only text book used as the teaching material. There is only text book used as the teaching material. Therefore, it is developed the LKS as teaching material base on guided discovery learning in the social aritmatic topic. This research is suppose to find out validity and practicality of LKS base on guided discovery. The type of this research is development research used 4-D model consists of fours steps: phase define, design, develop, and disseminate. The result of LKS validation based on guided discovery by the validator shows that LKS based on guided discovery got high validity: 4,33. Test of practicality by the students shows that LKS based on guided discovery is very practical: 89,27%. It can be conclude that LKS based on guided discovery is very valid and very practical.
