Abstract

The background of the research is that the student’s Math learning result is low inthe VIII grade of Public Junior High School 1 Lunang in academic year2013/2014. One of the efforts conducted is applying the cooperative type learningstrategy of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD). The type of the researchis pre-experiment with the design model, i.e. One Shot Case Study. The subjectselection on this research is all of the students of the VIII.5 class of Public JuniorHigh School 1 Lunang in academic year 2013/2014. The research instruments arepost-test and quiz. The post-test is to see the student’s Math learning result andquiz is to see the development of student’s learning result of the average grade forevery meeting with the instrument reliabilities r11 = 0.86. The research resultshows that the development of student’s Math learning results always increasesfor every meeting. Meanwhile, the result of student’s post-test grade compared tothe Minimum Accomplishing Criteria (KKM) set shows that there 18 studentsaccomplished with the percentage, i.e. 69,2 % and 8 students are notaccomplished with the percentage, 30.7%
