Abstract

The study of Balinese manuscripts Classical Islamic religious nuanceis done using philological approach and method of content analysis basedon the framework of semio tic analysis of Roland Barthes post-structural.Stages of this research include the transfer of language or transliterationof the manuscript into Indonesian. After that, then the manuscript wastranslated into Indonesian. Indonesian-language translation is beinganalyzed. Geguritan Joharsa analyzed in this report only 4 Canto, namelyCanto 19 to Canto 22. Geguritan Joharsa Canto 19 to Canto 22 describes thecharacter of each actor in this geguritan. Those cantos describe good humannature and human nature is not good.Human nature is well refected by Joharsa, Narawulan and Nahodaas perpetrators. Joharsa has noble character exemplary human beings.Character is very important in family life and in public life. Character inaccordance with Joharsa is Narawulan. She has devoted to her husband’scharacter. She faced a diffcult life very hard, but she remained faithful to herhusband until met. Nahoda character is like to distance them from the worldand like to help with no strings attached. Which is not good character playedby King Lokantara. King has a character Lokantara arrogant and angry.Key Words: Geguritan Joharsa, Human Character

Abstract

Salah satu tujuan dari penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan kitab-kitab  kuning yang menjadi standar rujukan pembelajaran di pondok pesantren salaf. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan  adalah deskriptif  kualitatif. Tempat penelitian adalah  Pondok Pesantren Al-Anwar Sarang, Pondok Pesantren “API” Tegalrejo, dan Pondok Pesantren Al-Fadllu Kaliwungu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kitab-kitab kuning yang menjadi standar  rujukan/kajian pada tiga pondok yang menjadi tempat penelitian   antara lain mencakup Fiqih, Ushul Fiqih, Nahwu, Shorof, Tauhid, Balaghoh, Mantiq,  Khulashoh/Sejarah, Falak, Tafsir dan Waris. Kitab-kitab kuning yang dipelajari di tiga  pondok pesantren tersebut hampir sama,  perbedaannya adalah untuk kitab-kitab tertentu yang berjenis sama diberikan pada jenjang yang berbeda. Standar kitab yang digunakan di pondok pesantren riset berbeda dengan standar  yang dikeluarkan Kementerian Agama untuk  masing-ma-sing jenjang pada pondok pesantren salaf.

Abstract

The curriculum of Islamic education applied in private senior high schoolsis not the same from one to another because they are permitted to implementthe curriculum legalized by the Ministry of National Education on one hand,and local curriculum (the curriculum issued by their own foundations) on theother; and the curriculum of each school has its own characteristics. The mainpurpose of this study is to determine whether there are significant differences,in terms of religious behaviours, of students who obtained a teaching curriculumdesigned by the foundations and the students who acquired learningwith curriculum legalized by the Ministry of National Education. By taking asample of 240 students from various private schools, the result of the studyshows that, in terms of religious behaviours, those who obtained a teachingwith curriculum of the foundations are better than that of students who obtainedlearning with the curriculum of the Ministry of National Education.
