Abstract

After Meijer had conducted ecological study on Mt. Gede Pangrango in 1959, the subsequent study did not monitor its d inamics. This study aimed to compare current vegetation composition and tree structure with past 50 years data based on Meijer publication. One hectare permanent plot reconstructed at submontane zone to identi fy vegetation changes during 50 years on August 2009. Vegetation analyses method was similar with 50 years ago include field tree identification, diameter at breast height (dbh), tree height, and first branch height. Result showed the species richness decreased from 233 to 166 species, diversity index (H) slightly changed from 3.39 to 3.29, and similarity index indicated the differentiation of both tree communities was 51%. Further r nore, from 63 tree species presented in 2009, 47 species was similar with 50 years ago and 16 species know n as new record. Moreover, 18 tree species recorded in 1959 had lost in 2009 i.e., Ehretia javanica, Heli( 7ia javanica, Mischocarpus frutescens, Saurauia bracteosa, Wedlandia glabrata, etc. The highest abundance oi I both studies was Villebrunea rubescens. The changes of vegetation composition and tree structure may have been caused by (1) wind disaster occurred on 1984; (2) human pressured from the nearest village; and (3 ) natural forest regeneration towards climax condition.

Abstract

Preventative management, such as framework-based assessment, considered as the best option for invasive species management. Alternatively, risk assessment can be conducted based on traits of occurred invasive species to build prediction system for invasive risk assessment. This study aimed to test whether trait-based assessment system can differentiate the escaped from non-escaped exotic collections of botanic gardens and to compare the reliability of trait-based versus framework-based risk assessment on differentiating these escaped from non-escaped exotics. In this study, Bayesian logistic regression analysis was conducted to assess the reliability of framework-based and trait-based risk assessment systems. For trait-based system, clear effect of leaf trait, height, and dispersal method to escape probability was detected. For framework-based system, clear effect of Tropical Weed Risk Assessment Protocol on escape probability was detected. Leaf trait, dispersal method and height are reliable predictors for escaped probability of botanic gardens exotic collection. The fact that the reliability of trait-based assessment systems is better than the commonly used framework-based system is the main novel finding in this study. This finding implies that trait-based is better than framework-based for invasive species risk assessment approach in Indonesian botanic gardens. Trait-based assessment also a relevant tool to support management with limited resources to conduct adequate early risk assessment.

Abstract

The role of botanic garden in spread of non-native plant species has concerned of international worldwide. This study aimed to study the extent of non-native plant species from Cibodas Botanical Garden (CBG) which invades into natural rainforest. A line transect was made edge-to-interior with 1,600 m in distance from CBG boundary. Result showed that distance from CBG was not significant in correlation with non-native tree and treelet density. Furthermore, presence of existing CBGs plant collection was not a single aspect which influenced presence and abundance. Three invasive species possibly was escape from CBG and it showed edge-to-interior in stems density, i.e. Cinchona pubescens, Calliandra calothyrsus and Cestrum aurantiacum. The patterns of non-native species were influenced by presence of ditch across transect, existence of human trail, and the other non-native species did not have general pattern of spread distribution. Overall, botanical gardens should minimize the risk of unintentional introduced plant by perform site-specific risk assessment.

Abstract

Divisi Regional III (DIVRE III) PT. TELKOM merupakan perusahaan yang mempunyai misi menjamin semua pelanggannya memperoleh layanan terbaik dalam bentuk kemudahan, kualitas produk maupun jaringan disertai harga yang kompetitif. Maka peranan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) sangat penting. SDM yang terkait harus memiliki kompetensi kinerja yang tinggi agar mampu menyesuaikan dengan misi yang ada pada Divre III. Kompetensi pegawai dapat disesuaikan dengan kondisi kerjanya, dengan memberikan penilaian yang dilakukan oleh atasan, rekan sejawat dan bawahan (penilaian kompetensi dengan 360). Setelah melakukan penilaian maka, manager dapat melakukan tindakan pengambilan keputusan berupa pelatihan. Agar dapat secara produktif dan profesional dalam melaksanakan tugas/pekerjaan yang sedang dijabatnya, sehingga dibutuhkan sistem informasi yang dapat digunakan secara efektif dan efisien karena terdapat beberapa elemen/fungsi bisnis yang harus terintegrasi secara praktis/efisien. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) sebagai konsep yang dapat mengintegrasikan beberapa elemen yang terdapat dalam suatu sistem ke dalam sebuah data base tunggal yang dalam hal ini peneliti akan mengimplementasikannya pada bidang jasa telekomunikasi khusus untuk melakukan penilaian kompetensi sumber daya manusia dengan studi kasus di Unit Kerja SDM Divisi Regional III PT. Telkom. Adapun output penelitian ini menghasilkan rancangan sistem informasi yang terintegrasi pada sistem kajian yaitu unit SDM DIVRE III PT.Telkom untuk sistem pendukung keputusan atau Decision Support System (DSS) pada penilaian kinerja pegawai dengan basis kompetensi yang pada akhirnya dinyatakan dalam ukuran nilai Gap dengan pengklasifikasian sebagai berikut : » Mutasi dengan nilai Gap «-1,2 - Bertahan dengannilai -1,2 «- Gap «-0,4 - Training| dengannilai -0,4 «- Gap « t0,4 - Training Il dengan nilai t0,4 «- Gap « 1,2. Artinya, tahap ini dilakukan untuk penyempurnaan kompetensi. - Dipromosikan dengan nilai 'Gap ?- #1,2 K1. Artinya pegawai memperoleh kesempatan untuk dipromosikan agar dapat memperoleh kenaikkan pangkat.

Abstract

As a BUMN in postal industry, PT. Pos Indonesia claimed to be survived in nowadays competition and also be able to give contribution to the government. To make it happen, it needs competitive strategy that match to the existing business, so that business can achieve the corporate goals. Strategies that will be conducted are correlated to the company's internal and external environment, including customer satisfaction. So with the analysis of environment and customer satisfaction, later on the company will be able to adapt for the change that happen in its business environment to its internal condition. Those things that make the writer recommend an appropriate formula of company's strategy that suitable with the internal and external condition of the company.To gather information about internal and external condition of the company, the writer uses a previous guestioner. With this guestioner, the writer knows the internal factors that strengths and weaknesses for the company and the external factors that could be either opportunities or threats to company. To know how big that environment influenced, we conducted a rating for those factors so we can know the company business position. This position can be known from GE (General Electric) Matrix which combined the industry attractiveness with business power. To know the customer satisfaction we use CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index), CSGI (Customer Satisfaction Gap Index), CSI Boxes, and Importance-Performance Matrix. With those things, we can formulate a competitive strategy that match to the company business environment.The result of this research, we know that business position of the company is on the selective growth level. About the customer satisfaction, the customer felt guit satisfy for the service that PT. Pos Indonesia gave with 63,38%of CSI. But if it's compared with Tiki, the guality service of PT. Pos Indonesia still loose.Aspect Industry Attractiveness, Score 3.82. Aspect Business Power, Score 3.61.The conclusion of this whole research is the formulating of business and functional level strategy. The formulated business strategies are growth strategy consist of market penetration, innovations, concentrations and alliance strategy. The functional strategies are the reduction of business strategies. The functional strategy conducted in marketing and distribution, operation, human resource, and financial section.

Abstract

Information Technology (IT) is supporting factor in applying of information system representing an organizational solution and management to solve problems of management. These days adjustment of technology of information have clear away various area, including banking area. Special regarding small scale banking area like Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR), adjustment of technology information just conducted at last some years. Unhappily the applying does not follow with evaluation to know technological contribution at their business. By using model of tachometric developed by Asian United Nation-Economic Social Commission for and Pacific(UN-ESCAP), hence can be calculated by technological contribution pursuant to four technological component that is: teknoware, humanware, infoware and orgaware. Trouble-Shooting phase start from phase identify especial item of coherent technological component at information technology of BPR, continued with compilation of assessment criterion and procedure to technological item, and identify relevant responder. Implementation tachometric model on this phase. After process identify, data collecting through admission filling three kinds of questioner, that is: questioner degree of sophistication, questioner assessment of recent sophisticated storey/State of the Art (SOA), and matrix questioner comparison form a pair. Third of the questioner compiled and filled by using justification all relevant responder. From this research is known that approach of model of tachometric represent approach which is practical and can find weakness and strength at technological component of information technology facility wearied by BPR Sukabumi HQ. Value Contribution of each technological component is 0,707 for teknoware, 0,662 for humanware, 0,563 for infoware and 0,512 for orgaware. With the data obtained by result of technological contribution coefficient (TCC) equal to 0,607 showing information technology payload storey of BPR on course goodness. Nevertheless, technological component infoware and orgaware reside in below of TCC. Therefore, the components become furthermore repair priority.
