Abstract

The main issues in this service are related to sales and attractiveness and understanding related to product promotion. As well as the basis for using online applications, e-Commerce implementation requires a fundamental paradigm shift, from the original marketplace that emphasizes physical interaction between sellers and buyers into a market space that relies on electronic transactions. In a traditional marketplace, information, product / service, and payment traffic is physical (location based). In other words, the applicable business model is the geographic business model. Conversely, in a virtual marketplace, product information flow, communication processes between producers and consumers, distribution of goods / services and transactions take place in a virtual / virtual world. The purpose of this service is to improve the production process and the process of selling and utilizing resources in activities and choosing the right marketing channels as well as in the use of media so that the Jasmine 2 group in Batjoja Hamlet is one of the business actors that produce local processed products in Siberut District South. These service methods are outreach, activity assistance, attractive product packaging, online marketing management and activity evaluation. The result of this dedication is that the effort is socialized in this service through social media such as IG, and BUKALAPAK https://www.bukalapak.com/u/craftsinukerupuksagu. Brands and packaging have been designed in such a way and are expected to be increasingly recognized, the Service Team has also provided debriefing to partners in the form of "Smart Packaging" through training and outreach on suitable and appropriate packaging in attracting prospective customers, "standing poch" packaging with seals, which is more flexible and attractive in various sizes. The packaging is ready to be affixed to a complete brand sticker with the label. And many orders have arrived, especially from outside the Mentawai Islands district. Conclusion Melati 2 Group in running a business has the potential to produce value and money. Although the sales of the products produced namely inu craft and sago crackers are getting better locally but the equal distribution of sales and marketing of products is very good and many are interested, but it's just that the potential for promotion must always be done, especially for marketing outside the Island or outside the Regency so that in improving the economic partner groups in particular will increasingly step up. This is also based on information and education held by partner groups in terms of the production process and marketing selection

Abstract

The expansion of the gig economy has introduced freelancing as a compelling career path for university graduates seeking autonomy, flexibility, and value-aligned work. However, the transition from traditional employment aspirations to freelance entrepreneurship is shaped by complex psychological and social mechanisms that remain underexplored. This study develops and tests a structural model of freelance entrepreneurial intention by integrating the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) with entrepreneurial identity and self-efficacy. Data were collected from 254 university graduates and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results demonstrate that attitude toward freelancing, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control significantly influence the development of entrepreneurial identity. Entrepreneurial identity, in turn, strongly predicts the intention to pursue freelance work. While perceived behavioral control also directly affects intention, self-efficacy shows limited influence, suggesting that role internalization and social validation are more critical than confidence alone. Interestingly, subjective norms affect intention indirectly through identity rather than directly. This study contributes to entrepreneurship research by highlighting identity as a key mediating mechanism within non-traditional entrepreneurial pathways. The findings have practical implications for universities, policy-makers, and platform providers aiming to support sustainable freelance careers. Interventions emphasizing identity development—alongside skills and opportunity access—may better equip graduates to navigate the uncertainties of gig-based self-employment.

Abstract

Purpose of the Study: This study aims to investigate the influence of entrepreneurship education at the university level on the development of students’ entrepreneurial skills, with a particular focus on the potential moderating role of entrepreneurial family background. As entrepreneurship education becomes increasingly prioritized in higher education, understanding how familial entrepreneurial exposure interacts with formal education is crucial for shaping effective curricula. Methodology: Quantitative research approach was adopted, using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The study involved a sample of 189 university students in Padang, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through a validated Likert-scale questionnaire measuring students’ experiences with entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial skills development, and family background characteristics. The analysis was conducted using SmartPLS to explore both direct and moderating effects. Main Findings: The results revealed that entrepreneurship education has a significant positive impact on students’ entrepreneurial skills development. Surprisingly, students’ entrepreneurial family background did not exert a direct influence nor moderate the relationship between education and skills acquisition. The findings emphasize that while family background may offer exposure, formal entrepreneurial training is critical for equipping students with practical and theoretical competencies. Furthermore, a supportive academic environment emerged as a key factor in enhancing students’ entrepreneurial capabilities. Novelty/Originality of this Study: This study introduces a new perspective by exploring the often-overlooked moderating role of family background in the Indonesian context. It offers empirical evidence that challenges assumptions about the primacy of family influence, reinforcing the necessity of structured entrepreneurship education to nurture future entrepreneurs in diverse socio-cultural settings.
