Abstract

Abstract:The background of this research is a learning process and mathematics learning outcomes are not optimal in the class VII.6 Junior High School 20 Pekanbaru in the even semester academic years 2013/2014. The research was classroom action research to improve learning process andmathematics learning outcomeswith applied the cooperative learning Numbered Head Together structural approach. There are 40 students in the class, consist of 17 boys and 23 girls.This research consist of two cycles, and at the end of every cycle carried out mathematics learning outcomes test. The instrument of data collection on this research are observation sheets mathematics learning outcomestests. Analysis data of observation was performed with narrative descriptive analysis and analysis data of mathematics learning outcomeswas performed with  descriptive statistical analysis. Result of this research showed an increase in students from the base score (62,5%) to 65% on the first test and 80% on the second test. Results of this research indicates that the cooperative learning Numbered Head Together structural approachcan improve learning process and studentsmathematics learning outcomes class VII.6Junior High School20 Pekanbaru. Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is a learning process and mathematics achievementare not optimal in the class VIII5 SMP 29 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2013/2014.The research was classroom action research to improve learning process and mathematicsachievementwith applied the cooperative learning think pair square structural approach. This research consist of two cycles, and at the end of every cycle carried out mathematics achievement test. Data collected through observation and mathematicsachievement test.Analysis data of observation was performed with narrative descriptive analysis and analysis data of mathematicsachievement was performed with descriptive statistical analysis. Result of this research showed an increase in students from the base score with the percentage 12% to 67% on the first test and 60% on the second test. Abstract

Abstract: This research was based on the students’ achievement in learning mathematics especially grade III.C of SD N 133 Pekanbaru under the Mastery Minimum Criteria with percentage of 41.67% on the 1st Basic Competency and 36,11% on the 2nd Basic Competency. The teacher-centered learning was still used to teach materials during the learning process. The research conducted was the Classroom Action Research. The aims of this research is to improve the learning process and results on the students learning mathematic by implementing cooperative learning model Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). There were 36 students in the class consisting 16 boys and 20 girls as the participant of this research. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students Mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students’ Mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitative desciptive. The qualitative desciptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycles. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning Mathematic from the basic scoreto the first test and second test.Based on the result of this research could be concluded that the implementation of Cooperative Learning Model Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) can improve the student’s achievement of learning Mathematic in grade III.C of SD N 133 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2014/2015.
