Abstract

Epistemology is the study of philosophy what investigates about the source, requirements, and the process of knowledge. In western epistemology studies, its known schools of thought, such as empiricism, rationalism and intuitisme. In Islamic thought studies is also several major streams in relation to the theory of knowledge (epistemology). There are at least three models of thought systems in Islam, its named Bayani, Burhani and Irfani. The third epistemology should be dialogue and go hand in hand. So with this assumption, try to be revealed various problems in Islamic education, particularly related to Islamic education epistemology, and then look for a new alternative epistemological reconstruction of thought which is certainly more realistic, innovative, transformative, accommodative, ekuilibratif and dynamic.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study is a study of thought associated with Agus Purwanto‟s thought in the book by the tittle Ayat- Ayat Semesta and Nalar Ayat-Ayat Semesta. According to Agus Purwanto thought in his book, he divides the relationship between Islam and science within 3 (three) kinds of models, namely: the Islamization of Science, Islamic of Scientification and Islamic Science. Islamization of Science is the model that made the discovery that the majority of modern science in the West, can be in accordance with the teachings of Islam. Islamic of Scientification is trying to find the basics of science to the teachings of Islam. While the Islamic Science seeks to make the Quran and as-Sunna as a base construction science. Of the three kinds of models, Agus Purwanto choose three clusters, namely the Islamic Science. Islamic Science is a science-based construction revelation. In this case, Agus Purwanto offer kauniyah 800 verses in the Quran to do the analysis of the text, which is then followed by observation and experimentation natural phenomena directly by using the scientific method.

Abstract

Muslims around the world mostly was under the domination of the West in the mastery of science and technology. Establishing educational institutions that are based on science and technology is one of the ways to solve the problem.This study had the purpose to examine the epistemology of science in the teaching system in SMA Trensains boarding school Tebuireng Jombang. Applying the method of field research through qualitative approach and philosophical analyses, this study revealed that SMA Trensains Tebuireng Jombang applied "Islamic Science" in which science is constructed based on the revelation of God. It is meant that in Islamic epistemology, revelation and the Sunnah are the sources which are inspiring for building sciences. It is hoped that the building the Islamic epistemology of science will bear pious Muslim generation in religious field and proficient in science and technology, and it will impact to the glory of Islamic civilization in the future.***Pada umumnya, umat Islam di dunia ini berada di bawah dominasi Barat dalam penguasaan ilmu dan teknologi. Pendirian lembaga pendidikan yang didasarkan pada ilmu dan teknologi merupakan salah satu cara untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti epistemologi ilmu dalam sistem pengajaran di SMA Trensains di pondok Pesantren Tebuireng Jombang. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian lapangan dan dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif serta analisis filosofis, kajian ini menemukan bahwa SMA Trensains Tebuireng Jombang menerapkan Sains Islam, di mana ilmu dibangun berdasar wahyu Tuhan. Maksudnya adalah bahwa dalam epistemologi Islam wahyu dan sunnah adalah sumber yang memberikan inspirasi bagi pembangunan ilmu pengetahuan. Diharapkan pembangunan epistemologi Islam untuk ilmu penge­tahuan akan melahirkan generasi Muslim yang shalih dalam bidang agama dan ahli dalam bidang ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, yang pada gilirannya akan memberikan dampak bagi kejayaan peradaban Islam di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

Tulisan ini mengkaji pemikiran Agus Purwanto tentang epistemologi Sains Islam sebagaimana yang dituangkannya dalam buku Ayat-Ayat Semesta dan Nalar Ayat-Ayat Semesta. Hubungan Islam dan sains memiliki 3 (tiga) macam model, yaitu: Islamisasi Sains, Saintifikasi Islam dan Sains Islam. Dari tiga macam model tersebut, Agus Purwanto memilih model yang ketiga, yaitu Sains Islam. Sains Islam adalah konstruksi sains yang berbasis wahyu (al-Qur’an dan as-Sunah). Karena itu, Agus Purwanto menawarkan 800 ayat-ayat kauniyah dalam al-Qur’an untuk dapat dilakukan analisis teks, yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan observasi dan eksperimentasi fenomena alam secara langsung dengan menggunakan metode ilmiah. Langkah ini dilakukan sebagai upaya dalam menemukan temuan-temuan baru ilmu pengatahuan yang berbasis wahyu. This paper examines the thoughts of Agus Purwanto on the epistemology of Islamic Science as he poured in the book by the title Ayat-Ayat Semesta dan Nalar Ayat-Ayat Semesta. The relationship between Islam and science have three (3) kinds of models, are: the Islamization of Science, Saintification of Islam and Islamic Science. From the models, Agus Purwanto chooses a third model, the Islamic Science. Islamic science is science-based construction revelation (al-Qur'an and as-Sunna). Therefore, Agus Purwanto offers kauniyah 800 verses in the Qur'an to analyse of the text, which is then followed by observation and experimen-tation natural phenomena directly by using the scientific method. This step is done as an effort to find new findings for the science-based revelation.

Abstract

Islamic education is mostly dominated by the inherited construction of classical-scholastic epistemology where there is less appreciation of the dynamics and development of life which are increasingly complex and diverse. Many religious groups have the ideology leading to the truth which is excessive, unilateral, and exclusive. This is the reason why it is important to develop a paradigm of inclusive-multicultural education, the process of developing the full potential of human beings who appreciate plurality and heterogeneity as a consequence of the diversity of cultural, ethnic, tribal and flow (religion). At this point, Gestalt theory can be used as a surgical glasses in viewing the problem. According to Gestalt theory, diversity is a part / piece of totality that must be construed as a whole, not simply interpreted in bits and pieces. Overall, it would be more meaningful than just a piece or pieces that are not obscure. Therefore, understanding pluralistic inclusive life will give understanding of exclusion in Islamic education.

Abstract

ملخص تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل العوامل التي تسبب صعوبات في تعلم اللغة العربية التي يواجهها طلاب قسم دراسات السياحة الشرعية، كلية الاقتصاد والتجارة الإسلامية كلية اللإقتصاد والتجارة الإسلامية، جامعة سيد علي رحمة الله الإسلامية الحكومية تولونج أجونج، الذين تخرجوا من المدارس العامة (SMA/SMK) في مؤسسات التعليم العالي الإسلامية الحكومية مثل جامعة جامعة سيد علي رحمة الله الإسلامية الحكومية تولونج أجونج ، كانت اللغة العربية هي مادة دراسية أساسية إلزامية لجميع الطلاب، بما في ذلك الطلاب في برامج الدراسة غير الدينية. ونشأت مشكلة حاسمة بسبب الفجوة في الخلفيات التعليمية، التي تختلف بشكل كبير. الطلاب الذين تخرجوا من المدارس العامة ولم تكن لديهم معرفة مسبقة باللغة العربية شعروا بأنهم متخلفون عن الركب وواجهوا مشاكل في تعلم اللغة العربية مقارنة بالطلاب الذين تخرجوا من المدارس الثانوية الإسلامية أو المدارس الإسلامية الداخلية. استخدمت هذه الدراسة طريقة وصفية نوعية لرسم خريطة للمشاكل التي حدثت. تحدد نتائج الدراسة فئتين رئيسيتين من المشاكل: (1) المشاكل اللغوية، والتي تشمل الصعوبات الأساسية في إتقان قواعد اللغة (النحو والشرف)، ونقص المفردات (المفردات)، والصعوبات في المهارات اللغوية الأربع (المهارات)، وخاصة التحدث (الكلمات). (2) المشاكل غير اللغوية، التي تهيمن عليها عوامل نفسية داخلية مثل تدني الثقة بالنفس، وقلة الاهتمام بالتعلم، والقلق. كما تساهم العوامل الخارجية مثل أساليب التدريس التي يتبعها المحاضرون وغياب البيئة اللغوية (بيئة لغوية). الكلمات المفتاحية: اللغة العربية، السياحة الشرعية، خريجو المدارس العامة، مشاكل التعلم، جامعة سيد علي رحمة الله الإسلامية الحكومية تولونج أجونج Abstract This study aims to analyse the factors causing difficulties in learning Arabic faced by students of the Sharia Tourism Study Programme, Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Islamic State University who are graduates of public schools (SMA/SMK). At State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN) such as UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, Arabic is a compulsory intensive programme for all students, including those in non-religious study programmes. A crucial problem arises due to the gap in educational backgrounds, which vary greatly. Students who graduated from public schools and had no prior knowledge of Arabic felt left behind and faced problems in learning Arabic compared to students who graduated from Madrasah Aliyah or Islamic boarding schools. This study used a qualitative descriptive method to map the problems that occurred. The results of the study identify two main categories of problems: (1) Linguistic Problems, which include fundamental difficulties in mastering grammar (nahwu and sharf), a lack of vocabulary (mufrodat), and difficulties in the four language skills (maharat), especially speaking (kalam). (2) Non-Linguistic Problems, which are dominated by internal psychological factors such as low self-esteem, lack of interest in learning, and anxiety. External factors such as lecturers' teaching methods and the lack of a language environment (bi'ah lughawiyyah) also contribute. Keywords: Arabic Language, Sharia Tourism, General School Alumni, Learning Problems, UIN Tulungagung Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar bahasa Arab yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa Program Studi Pariwisata Syariah, Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung yang berasal dari lulusan sekolah umum (SMA/SMK). Di Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri (PTKIN) seperti UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, bahasa Arab menjadi program intensif wajib bagi seluruh mahasiswa termasuk di prodi non-keagamaan. Problematika krusial muncul akibat adanya kesenjangan (gap) latar belakang pendidikan yang sangat beragam. Mahasiswa lulusan sekolah umum yang tidak memiliki dasar bahasa Arab sebelumnya, merasa tertinggal dan menghadapi masalah dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab jika dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa lulusan Madrasah Aliyah atau pondok pesantren. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk memetakan problematika yang terjadi. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi dua kategori masalah utama: (1)Problematika Linguistik, yang mencakup kesulitan fundamental dalam penguasaan tata bahasa (nahwu dan sharf) , minimnya perbendaharaan kosakata (mufrodat) , serta kesulitan dalam empat keterampilan berbahasa (maharat), khususnya berbicara (kalam). (2) Problematika Non-Linguistik, yang didominasi oleh faktor psikologis internal seperti rasa rendah diri, kurangnya minat belajar dan kecemasan. Faktor eksternal seperti metode pengajaran dosen dan minimnya lingkungan berbahasa (bi'ah lughawiyyah) juga turut berkontribusi.
