Abstract

Monday effect is an information used by investors to adjudge their investment decision in accordance with some conditions. The condition is able to make changes into stock supply and demand. The change of stock supply and demand generate fluctuating stock return. The purpose of this research is to analyze the reaction of sharia capital market over the Monday effect depicted by the difference of stock return before and after Monday.This research uses event study approach, applied to JII listed issuers in December 2013 – May 2014. The 5-days observation period was used in this research which is consist of t-2 (2 days before Monday), t-0 (event date), t+2 (2 days after Monday). The hypothesis test was ran through paired sample t-test.In accordance with the statistic test result using significant rate (α) 5%, the probability of this research was 0,001 depicting the difference of stock return before and after Monday.

Abstract

Problems can occur in traffic, one of which is congestion. Congestion is caused by an increase in traffic volume on the road. To analyze the road capacity and traffic performance of a road section, it can be done by using the 1997 MKJI and 2023 PKJI methods. The 2023 PKJI replaces the 1997 MKJI and presents changes in the road capacity analysis methodology. The differences between the two methods include changes to the calculation of road capacity, use of sophisticated traffic models, introduction of new variables that affect capacity, and adjustment of analysis parameters. The purpose of this study was to compare the methodology and the results of the analysis of road capacity according to MKJI 1997 and PKJI 2023. In this study, we took samples on Jalan Diponegoro, which is located in Bondowoso Regency. There are differences in adjustment factors, namely the basic free flow speed of side barriers, city size, basic capacity, lane width, and direction separators and there are differences in the final results, namely road capacity and free flow speed. ABSTRAK Permasalahan dapat terjadi pada lalu lintas, salah satunya adalah kemacetan. Kemacetan disebabkan karena adanya peningkatan volume lalu lintas pada ruas jalan. Untuk menganalisis kapasitas jalan dan kinerja lalu lintas suatu ruas jalan dapat dilakukan dengan mengguakan metode MKJI 1997 dan PKJI 2023. PKJI 2023 menggantikan MKJI 1997 dan menghadirkan perubahan dalam metodologi analisis kapasitas jalan. Perbedaan kedua metode tersebut mencakup perubahan perhitungan kapasitas jalan, penggunaan model lalu lintas yang canggih, pengenalan variabel baru yang mempengaruhi kapasitas, dan penyesuaian parameter analisis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan metodologi dan hasil analisis kapasitas jalan menurut MKJI 1997 dan PKJI 2023 yang pada penelitian ini kami mengambil sampel pada ruas Jalan Diponegoro yang terletak pada Kabupaten Bondowoso. Terdapat perbedaan faktor penyesuaian yakni kecepatan arus bebas dasar hambatan samping, ukuran kota, kapasitas dasar, lebar jalur, dan pemisah arah serta terdapat perbedaan hasil akhir yakni pada kapasitas jalan dan kecepatan arus bebas.
