Abstract

The most recent development of digital technology is rapidly growing having a strong impact in daily activities. Automation is a trend in society to make those activities become easier. Moreover, efficiency has played the main role in the automation concept. For example, when making a drink which requires to accurately mix all required ingredients, like sugar, tea, and also coffee, the process may take time. Meanwhile, other more important processes have waited to be carried out. The idea of fasten up these activities may be preferable, exemplified by making an automatic drink maker machine. Moreover, coffee has been popular drink fancied by most people on the society. Hence, due to the high load of the people’s activity, everything is required to be instant and efficient. According to this trend, to provide an efficient, easy, and good management, we need to create an automatic, fast, and accurate system control which can be implemented by using Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human-Machine Interface (HMI). Meanwhile, in this research, Omron PLC and HMI are utilized to build an automatic drink maker device of Vietnamese Drip Coffee designed to resolve the society’s needs of coffee with higher efficiency of serving process. The automatic coffee maker device of Vietnamese Drip Coffee based on PLC and HMI is a device designed to simplify the making process of Vietnamese Drip Coffee in hot condition. This device can be operated by only touching/tapping on its coffee menu choices. The design of this device has the main purpose to operate and test the control system based on PLC and HMI to control and monitoring the automatic process of producing Vietnamese Drip Coffee started from choosing the coffee types until mixing process.

Abstract

Elektro-hidrolik merupakan jenis aktuator yang kompleks dengan ketaklinieran yang tinggi dan mengandung unsur ketidakpastian di dalamnya. Oleh karena itu untuk mendapatkan performa terbaik dari sistem elektro-hidrolik diperlukan pemodelan yang lebih akurat dan sistem pengaturan yang tepat. Tujuan dari tugas akhir ini adalah melakukan pemodelan sistem secara tak-linier dan dilanjutkan dengan perancangan sistem pengaturan tak-linier yang robust untuk sistem elektro-hidrolik. Dalam tulisan ini pemodelan dilakukan dengan menggunakan System Identification Toolbox pada Matlab dari sepasang data input-output yang diambil dari sistem sebenarnya. Model dari sistem ditampilkan dalam bentuk tak-linier, karena mengakomodasi ketaklinieran, ketidakpastian dan gangguan dari sistem elektro-hidrolik. Sistem pengaturan menggunakan Sliding Mode Control (SMC) yang dikombinasikan dengan pengaturan Fuzzy dalam format Adaptif Sliding Mode Control (ASMC) untuk mengkompensasi perubahan parameter, ketaklinieran, ketidakpastian dan gangguan pada pengaturan SMC. Stabilitas sistem pengaturan dijamin dengan fungsi Lyapunov. Hasil pemodelan tak-linier menunjukkan nilai best-fit sebesar 94.65 %. Sementara pengaturan ASMC menghasilkan performa lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pengaturan SMC, hal ini dibuktikan menggunakan metode Sum of Squared Tracking Errors (SSTE) menghasilkan nilai sebesar 0,0121.

Abstract

HESS is a suitable technology when applied to electric cars. One application is in SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) car. The use of Supercapacitors can reduce the excess of load on the battery. Uneven soil contours cause current spike and drop in battery voltage which can reduce battery lifetime. This journal presents a simulated study of HESS batteries and Supercapacitors in SUV cars. Fuzzy-based energy management strategies and threshold control are introduced. The simulation study shows the difference between the control using the number of climb data and not, and the Fuzzy control response to the demand load. The simulation results mention the reduction of the maximum current and the battery voltage drop according to the load. The total energy ratio used between the two controls is also presented.

Abstract

This study discusses the power control strategy in a standalone photovoltaic-battery hybrid system. The life-time of the battery will be shorter if the battery is often charged with high current and exceeds its State-of-Charge (SoC). Therefore, a control method is needed to control the power flow on the DC bus and the charging current as well as the SoC of the battery so that the battery has a long life-time. The proposed system uses two dc-dc converters to connect photovoltaic (PV) and lead-acid batteries to the load. The unidirectional DC-DC converter is used as the interface between the PV and the DC bus, the bidirectional DC-DC converter is used as the interface between the battery and the DC bus. The control strategy plays a role in controlling the power flow between the converter and the load to maintain the balance of power in the system and controlling the battery to support PV when the available PV power is not enough to meet the load. The multi-loop control strategy is proposed in this study, one of the loops is used to maintain the SoC of the battery in order to control the PV output power to avoid over-charging. Another loop is used to ensure the balance of the system's power when the battery is charging at its maximum charge current. The proposed control system is implemented without requiring any conditions for the control to operate. The simulation results show that the proposed multi-loop control can control the power flow in the system while maintaining the maximum charging current and battery SoC limits.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of soiling factors and inverter temperature on the performance degradation of solar panels, using real-time data captured through sensors. Soiling, which includes the accumulation of dust and dirt on the surface of solar panels, as well as fluctuating inverter temperatures, are known to affect energy conversion efficiency. Tests were conducted by monitoring the performance of solar panels under different soiling conditions and varying inverter temperatures. To solve the soiling problem, cleaning was carried out on the solar panels, while the high inverter temperature was handled by adding a fan to the room to increase air circulation and cool down the inverter temperature. The results show that soiling can reduce energy conversion efficiency, while high inverter temperatures worsen system performance. Periodic cleaning of the solar panels was found to be effective in improving efficiency, while the addition of a fan in the room can reduce energy losses caused by high inverter temperatures. These findings provide important insights for performance optimization of solar panels and inverter systems under field conditions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini akan mengkaji kelayakan pembangunan pembangkit listrik tenaga surya (PLTS) off-grid  dengan studi kasus di Masjid Muhammad Cheng Hoo, Malang Selatan. Tujuan utama studi ini untuk mengatasi gangguan pemadaman listrik. Masjid ini memiliki beban utama seperti pompa air yang menyuplai air bersih untuk kebutuhan masyarakat sekitar. Metode penelitian meliputi survei lapangan, analisis beban, simulasi energi menggunakan perangkat lunak PVSyst, dan analisis ekonomi. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan kapasitas optimal PLTS sebesar 5,5 kWp dengan nilai performance ratio (PR) 0,54 dan solar fraction (SF) 0,92. Analisis ekonomi menunjukkan biaya investasi awal sebesar Rp 115.700.000 dengan nilai net present value (NPV) sebesar Rp 59.412.192, payback period (PBP) 16,4 tahun, dan return on investment (ROI) sebesar 51,4% senilai dengan Rp 59.459.800,-. Semua nilai indikator tersebut telah memenuhi kriteria kelayakan, sehingga hasil studi kelayakan pembangunan dikatakan layak untuk masuk dalam proses pembangunan. Kontruksi PLTS yang diusulkan menggunakan model carport dengan material kayu untuk menghindari fenomena korosi yang disebabkan oleh hembusan udara dari laut. Implementasi PLTS ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi biaya operasional listrik, mengurangi dampak pemadaman, mendukung transisi energi terbarukan, serta meningkatkan keandalan pasokan listrik.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Dasar (SD) Muhammadiyah 08 Dau Malang untuk mengatasi rendahnya akurasi robot line follower yang masih menggunakan pengaturan sudut belok berbasis waktu tunda, terbatasnya metode pembelajaran, dan ketiadaan buku panduan operasional. Tujuan kegiatan adalah meningkatkan keterampilan teknis siswa dan guru melalui pengembangan modul robot line follower berbasis sensor Gyro MPU6050 sebagai acuan sudut belok presisi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi perancangan dan pembuatan robot, penyusunan materi dan buku panduan, pelatihan teori-praktik bagi siswa dan guru, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test, post-test, kuesioner, dan uji kinerja robot di lintasan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan siswa sebesar 93,65% (nilai rata-rata 42,5 menjadi 82,3), tingkat keberhasilan robot menyelesaikan lintasan mencapai 95%, serta respon positif dari 92% peserta dan 88% guru terhadap buku panduan. Selain menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran yang lebih akurat dan mudah digunakan, kegiatan ini juga memperkuat kompetensi guru dalam membimbing siswa secara mandiri. Keberhasilan program ini membuka peluang sekolah mitra untuk berpartisipasi dan berprestasi pada ajang kompetisi robotika tingkat regional maupun nasional secara lebih optimal.
