Abstract

Abstract: Patient safety culture in the organization, directly related to the individualattitudes and motivation to report any patient safety incidents. Openness attitudes to report any incidents is one indicator of patient safety culture in the internalization of individual behavior. Attitudes that do not support incident reporting on the staff, especially the nurses, will hamper efforts to create safe care because the absence of an incident report will have an impact that is hospital not aware of any potential warning of the dangers that can cause errors. This study is non experimental research with the aim of using correlative descriptive cross sectional design. The independent variable in this study is a patient safety culture while the dependent variable is the attitude of patient safety incidents reported. The results showed that simultaneous patient safety culture significantly influence the attitude of reported incidents. Partially organizational learning and continuous improvement does not significantly influence the attitude of patient safety incidents reported, Teamwork significant influence on the attitude of reported incidents, openness of communication significantly influence the attitude of reported incidents and the responses not to punish a mistake does not significantly influence the attitude of reported incidents. Teamworkhas dominant influence on the attitude of patient safety incidents reported

Abstract

IPCLN (Infection Prevention and Control Link Nurse) as executor of the PPIprogram at the hospital is expected to be opinion leaders to motivate all employees andvisitors in terms of infection control. This study aims to analyze the influence of training, work motivation and supervision both partially and simultaneously to IPCLN performance. This study was an explanatory study with cross sectional survey method at March 2015 inRSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung. Respondents are whole IPCLN as many as 35 people. Datacollection techniques using a questionnaire with Likert scale (1-5) and interviews. Descriptivedata analysis and hypothesis testing were done through multiple linear regression. Theresult were training variables (X1) with Beta coefficient = 0.362 and sig. = 0.07; workmotivation (X2) with Beta coefficient = 0.190 and sig. = 0.126; supervision variable (X3)with Beta coefficient = 0.483 and sig. = 0.001; R2 = 0,753 and value adjusted R square =0.526. The result were the training relates quite strong and significant effect on the performanceof IPCLN, motivation IPCLN no significant effect on performance, supervision isstrongly correlated with a significant effect on the performance of IPCLN. Training, motivation, and supervision related to strong and significant effect on the performance of IPCLNsimultaneously. IPCLN performance can be explained by 52.6% of the variable training, motivation and supervision simultaneously, and supervision of the dominant influence.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of individual, organization and behavior towards hand hygiene compliance of nurses. The research design used analytic descriptive study design with cross sectional approach on 71 respondents. Then, the researcher tested using descriptive statistical test, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and test the dominant variable. Individuals, organizations and behaviors significantly influence hand hygiene compliance of nurses. Individual variable dominantly influence on hand hygiene compliance of nurses.
