Abstract

Research on the effect of compound fertilizer on plant growth celery (Apium graveolens L.) has been implemented in October 2014 - February 2015, in plantations 16 Ulu Village, District Seberang Ulu II Palembang. This study aimed to determine the effect of compound fertilizers to celery plant growth and to determine at what dose the average total folium and plant fresh weight. The method used was completely randomized design (CRD), consists of six treatments and four replications. The dose used is A0 (without control), A1 (0.5 grams), A2 (1 gram), A3 (1.5 grams), A4 (2 grams), A5 (2.5 grams). Research results showed that administration of different doses significantly affect of total folium and celery plant fresh weight. The higher the dose applied, the better the plant growth. Best doses indicated in the treatment of A5 (2.5 g), which gives the average total folium 3 (strands) and wet weight of 1.7 grams. Key words: Compound Fertilizer, Apium graveolens L. Growth

Abstract

Soil conditioner is materials that added to the soil.  Soil conditioner capable to improve soil structure, water holding capacity and infiltration. The aims of this research is to study the effect soil conditioner on the field capacity and growth of green peas that were planted in sandy and clay soil. The soil conditioner used in this research is consisted of two different species of aquatic plants, leaf and root E.crassipes. It is treatment was replicated 3 time. Sandy soil (T1) and clay soil (T2) without soil conditioner were served as controls. T1P1 (Sandy soil+soil conditioner leaf E.crassipes) T1P2 (Sandy soil+soil conditioner root E.crassipes) T2P1 (clay soil+soil conditioner leaf E.crassipes) T2P2 (clay soil+ soil conditioner root E.crassipes). Ratio of soil and soil conditioner is 75%:25%. Result indicated that addition of leaf and root E.crassipes conditioner significanly increased field capacity, both in sandy and clay soil. The controls soil or without soil conditioner field capacity is 12,20%. Increased field capacity by leaf E.crassipes is 18,56 % and root E.crassipes 16,60%. Key words: soil conditioner, eichhornia crassipes, field capacity, growth.

Abstract

AbstractThe goal of the study was to determine parental acceptance of childrenwith special needs by examining the type of parental acceptance, thetreatment given to abk by parents, and the factors that influence parentalacceptance. A qualitative research paradigm was applied, with aphenomenological approach and data collection procedures such asobservation, interview, and documentation. Because of God's supremesacrifice and will, children with exceptional needs were well welcomed bytheir families, according to the findings. There are six types of parentalacceptance in children with exceptional needs. However, the mostimportant of the four is (1) to calm his spirit and accept with sincerity, 2)to provide aid and recognition, which can be observed when parents arenot ashamed or awkward to bring their children, 3) to pay adequateattention, and 4) to have additional patience. There are children who arecomplimented by their parents for receiving good treatment from theirfamilies, such as addressing the needs of children, offering affection in theform of touch, hugs, providing education, or teaching religious science.Children are treated unfairly in the form of mocking, bullying, scolding, lack of support, and being misjudged. Wrong treatment causes subliminalrejection in children with exceptional needs, as others notice parents whoare less loving toward their children. The acceptability of children withspecial needs is inextricably linked to their surroundings. The mostimportant component in determining parental approval is 1) Support fromextended relatives 2) Family unity, 3) Religious background, 4)Community Environment, and 5) Family Economic Situation. Keywords: Parental Acceptance, Special Needs Children
