Abstract

Abstract Nowadays, the use of code mixing is easily found in the oralcommunication, especially in the daily communication amongteenagers who like to code and switch their language to show thatthey are modern. The objectives of this research are to find out typesof code mixing used by major characters of Layangan Putus tv seriesand to know the factors that cause the use of code mixing. This studyemployed a qualitative descriptive method as research design.Layangan Putus Tv Series was chosen as the object of this study. Inthis case, the researcher took the utterance from major characters(Kinan, Aris, and Lidya) in 10 episodes of the film as the source ofthe data of this research. The instrument used in this research wasobservation checklist. The checklist consisted of the types of codemixing based on Muysken (2000) theory. There were two findings ofthis research; First, there were three types of Code Mixing used bymajor characters of Layangan Putus TV Series. There were 113insertion, 108 alternation, and 9 congruent lexicalization. Second,there were maybe four factors cause the use of code mixing inLayangan Putus TV series, namely; the participants, the setting orsocial context of interaction, the topic, and the function ofconversation. As a consequence, the researcher recommends thatfuture researchers should make a study of the phenomenon of codemixingin the latest and best TV series and Movie produced byDirector from Indonesia. Abstract

Abstract Speech act is an action performed or conveyed by means of speech. The aims of this research is to analyze speech act used by three governors of Indonesia in the Mata Najwa Talk Show Episode “Kita Bisa Apa” Tiga Gubernur Ditantang Tiktok, Siapa Paling Jago?”. This research has two objectives : first, to analyze speech act used by three governors of Indonesia in the Mata Najwa Talk Show Episode “Kita Bisa Apa” Tiga Gubernur Ditantang Tiktok, Siapa Paling Jago?”, and to analyze the function of speech act used by three governors of Indonesia in the Mata Najwa Talk Show Episode “Kita Bisa Apa” Tiga Gubernur Ditantang Tiktok, Siapa Paling Jago?”. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method. The description of the data is in the form of utterances and examined based on Austin theories of speech act. Based on the obtained result, it can be concluded that the three governors, Ganjar Pranowo, Anies Baswedan, and Ridwan Kamil applied three types of speech act (locutionary act, illocutionary act, perlocutionary act). Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan mostly used locutionary act, while Ridwan Kamil used illocutionary act the most. The least used speech act by three governors was perlocutionary act. While three of them did not employ commissive and declarative function, they only used representative, directive, and expressive function of speech act. Abstract

Kegiatan ini merupakan kegiatan pendampingan kepada siswa-siswa bagaimana cara atau strategi yang dipakai dalam penerjemahan vidio game berbahasa inggris di SMA Negeri 01 Curup. Sekolah ini terletak di Jalan Basuki Rahmat No. 1 Curup Rejang Lebong. Secara umum sekolah yang terakreditasi B ini telah memiliki sarana dan prasarana yang memadai serta sistem dan tata kelola yang baik. Namun perlu ditingkatkan literasi siswa terutama dalam bahasa asing. Pembelajaran bahasa Inggris diampu oleh dua orang guru untuk semua kelas dari kelas X sd. XII. Sementara kurikulum yang digunakan adalah Kurikulum Merdeka untuk kelas X dan XI, K13 untuk kelas XII. Kemampuan berbahasa Inggris siswa, terutama dalam menerjemahkan suatu kalimat masih tergolong lemah menurut pengakuan guru bahasa Inggris setempat. Kegiatan bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap teks atau kalimat yang berbahasa inggris sehingga jika diterjemahkan kedalam bahasa indonesia menjadi kalimat yang mudah dimengerti. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan pencapaian positif, termasuk peningkatan pemahaman siswa, kreativitas dalam produk akhir, dan keterlibatan yang lebih tinggi dalam pembelajaran. Dengan perbaikan ini, kegiatan ini dapat menjadi landasan efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menerjemahkan dan mempersiapkan mereka menghadapi tuntutan literasi di masa depan. Kata Kunci: Penerjemahan, Video Game
