Abstract

Rangkui Subdistrict is one of the sub-districts located in Pangkal Pinang City, Bangka-Belitung Islands, which has natural wealth in the form of tin, so that this area is famous for tin mining activities. But if a tin has been used up, the land will be left and will cause land damage. So it needs to be done greening on the former tin mining land, by planting cashew by involving the local community. The cultivation of cashew is done as one of the alternative in an effort to improve the environment on ex-tin excavated land, because cashew plants, besides being easily found and planted, they also have the ability to grow on ex-excavated land. The method of planting begins with the selection of good seeds. Before planting, cashew seeds are cultivated first using soil and fertilizer media. After the cashew seedlings are ready to be planted, then the cashew seeds are planted on the former tin excavation land along with soil and fertilizer media that have been integrated with the roots. With the community service activities that provide training in cashew nut cultivation to the community on the former tin excavated land, it is expected to improve the quality of the environment, increase the value of land and improve the economy of the local community. Abstract

Budidaya sayur-sayuran merupakan salah satu peluang bisnis bagi petani, karena komoditi sayur-sayuran dapat diusahakan dan dilakukan oleh sebagian besar rumah tangga petani baik untuk konsumsi keluarga maupun untuk dijual. Desa Samiran merupakan salah satu desa yang berada di antara kaki Gunung Merapi dan Merbabu di Kabupaten Boyolali. Saat ini Desa Samiran terus melakukan upaya pembangunan masyarakat melalui pengembangan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat desa. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada Desa Samiran adalah kegiatan budidaya sayur-sayuranmasih dilakukan terbatas dilahan-lahan pertanian yang umumnya berada di lereng-lereng gunung. Sedangkan lahan pekarangan disekitar rumah mereka hanya dibiarkan terbengkalai.Hal ini sebagai akibat karena, minimnya pengetahuan dan keterbatasan dalam hal penguasaan teknologi, mengakibatkan kurang berdayanya masyarakat tani dalam mengusahakan dan mengembangkan lahan pekarangan rumah sebagai tempat bertanamam tanaman sayur-mayur.Akibatnya, lahan pertanian menjadi sakit dan semakin miskin hara serta produktivitasnya semakin rendah. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat petani di dalam pengelolaan lahan pekarangan khususnya untuk kegiatan pertanian sayur-mayur yang nantinya dapat membantu di dalam peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat.

Abstract

Building sectors are responsible for 33% of global energy consumption and a one-third of CO2 emission as buildings are expected to experience high performance in order to mee occupnt requirments such as lightng, coling, heting, and ventiltion systm. Internet of Things (IoT) as one of the leading developments in digital technologies led to the establishment of devices for improving the living style of the occupants. To date, stdies on intgrating the mechnisms of IoT to identify room thrmal cmfort are very sarce. Therefore, this study discussed the room thermal comfort with respect to room temperature and relative humidity. Three activities i.e. read, write, and sit were adopted. The value of air sped, metablic rate, and clohing inslation was assumed constant. The anlysis was condcted according to Fanger method and ASHRAE standard 55. Center for the Built Environment (CBE) Thermal Comfort Tool was usd to calculate the Predicted Mean Vote (PMV) vales. Results showed the average PMV values of each activity were -2.3 (read), -2.0 (write), and -1.4 (sit). Compared to the room climate data set, sitting performed the closest thermal comfort scale to the neutral. It means light activities with lower metabolic rate should be conducted in the room with higher room temperature and relative humidity.

Abstract

Abstract: Sustainable architecture plays a crucial role in minimizing environmental impact and enhancing energy efficiency in buildings. This study aims to explore research trends in sustainable architecture, particularly in housing, thermal comfort, and façade design, using bibliometric analysis with VOSviewer. The data were retrieved from the leading academic databases (Scopus). The analysis was conducted on the study maps keyword relationships, author collaborations, and institutional influences through co-occurrence network. The findings highlighted a growing emphasis on passive design strategies, innovative façade technologies, and adaptive thermal comfort models to promote sustainability in housing. Further analysis identified the cluster key themes involved thermal comfort, housing, architectural design, energy efficiency, and thermal insulation. This research offers valuable insights to develop the sustainable architecture, providing a useful reference for architects, policymakers, and researchers looking to enchance energi-efficient housing designs yet still prioritizing occupant comfort. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi tren penelitian dalam arsitektur berkelanjutan, khususnya pada bidang perumahan, kenyamanan termal, dan desain fasad, menggunakan analisis bibliometrik dengan VOSviewer. Data diperoleh dari basis data akademik terkemuka (Scopus). Analisis dilakukan untuk memetakan hubungan kata kunci, kolaborasi penulis, dan pengaruh institusional melalui jaringan ko-okurensi. Temuan penelitian menyoroti semakin besarnya penekanan pada strategi desain pasif, teknologi fasad inovatif, dan model kenyamanan termal adaptif untuk mendorong keberlanjutan dalam perumahan. Analisis lebih lanjut mengidentifikasi tema-tema utama kluster yang meliputi kenyamanan termal, perumahan, desain arsitektur, efisiensi energi, dan insulasi termal. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan berharga untuk pengembangan arsitektur berkelanjutan, sekaligus menjadi referensi yang berguna bagi para arsitek, pembuat kebijakan, dan peneliti yang ingin meningkatkan desain perumahan hemat energi dengan tetap mengutamakan kenyamanan penghuni. Abstract

Abstract: Thermal comfort and energy efficiency in buildings are essential aspects in supporting sustainable development. This study aims to explore research patterns and map the relationships among topics related to thermal comfort and energy efficiency using a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) approach. The method applied is a quantitative bibliometric analysis using data obtained from the Scopus database. Data collection was conducted using relevant keywords and limited based on publication years and subject areas. The analysis was carried out using VOSviewer to visualize publication trends, country contributions, and relationships among keywords. The results indicate that the number of publications increased from 2020 to 2026, with a peak occurring in 2024. China is identified as the country with the highest number of publications, followed by several other countries. The keyword mapping results reveal strong relationships among topics such as air temperature, airflow, ventilation systems, and indoor environmental conditions. The findings also indicate that research in this field is still dominated by technical, simulation-based approaches, particularly in the context of airflow and thermal parameters. This study is expected to serve as a reference for further research in improving building energy efficiency and thermal comfort. Keyword: Thermal comfort, energy efficiency, CFD Abstrak: Kenyamanan termal dan efisiensi energi di dalam bangunan merupakan aspek penting untuk mendukung pembangunan yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi pola penelitian dan memetakan keterkaitan antar topik yang berkaitan dengan kenyamanan termal dan efisiensi energi menggunakan CFD. Teknik yang diterapkan adalah analisis bibliometrik kuantitatif menggunakan data dari basis data Scopus. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kata kunci yang relevan dan dibatasi berdasarkan tahun terbit serta bidang studi. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan VOSviewer untuk menggambarkan tren publikasi, kontribusi negara, serta hubungan antar kata kunci. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jumlah publikasi meningkat dari tahun 2020 hingga 2026, puncaknya terjadi pada tahun 2024. China menjadi negara dengan tingkat publikasi tertinggi, diikuti oleh negara-negara lain. Hasil pemetaan kata kunci menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang erat antara topik seperti suhu udara, aliran udara, sistem ventilasi, dan kondisi lingkungan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kajian ini masih didominasi pendekatan teknis berbasis simulasi, terutama dalam konteks aliran udara dan termal. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat bermanfaat sebagai acuan untuk pengembangan studi lebih lanjut dalam upaya meningkatkan efisiensi energi dan kenyamanan termal bangunan. Abstract

Buildings account for a significant portion of global energy use, making facade design a critical component in efforts to achieve sustainable architecture. In tropical climates, challenges such as high solar radiation, temperature, and humidity increase the demand for innovative facade strategies that improve thermal comfort and energy efficiency. Proven strategies such as shading devices, roof overhangs, and natural ventilation have demonstrated effectiveness in reducing indoor heat gain and increasing occupant comfort. This study aims to analyze current research trends in sustainable architecture with a focus on building facade design and its impact on thermal comfort. Bibliometric analysis was carried out using Scopus-indexed publications from 2016 to 2025, with keywords related to building design, thermal comfort, and facade efficiency. VOSViewer software was used to map keyword networks, visualize publication trends, and identify dominant themes and research clusters. The analysis includes 51 relevant publications and reveals a growing interest in facade-related energy research over the last decade. The majority of research is focused on engineering, energy, and environmental science, with global contributions from China, the United States, and Italy. Keyword clustering identified three core research themes: architectural design strategies, building envelope technologies, and thermal comfort performance. Despite a growing body of research, this study highlights a gap in facade design research specifically adapted to tropical climates, where humidity and solar radiation issues require more context-sensitive solutions. These findings underscore the need for more localized and multidisciplinary research, as well as the integration of adaptive and intelligent façade systems. This research contributes to the knowledge base by identifying research patterns and gaps, offering a foundation for future investigations into facade innovations that support energy-efficient and thermally comfortable buildings in diverse climate contexts.
