Abstract

COVID-19 is one infectious disease that attacks the respiratory tract and could cause death. The first case in Central Sulawesi started from Palu. The government has done various interventions to push down the COVID -19 spreading, such as isolation treatment for positive patients in hospitals provided by the government. This condition led the stress for the susceptible patient. One treatment that could perform to reduce stress is social support. The aim of the research is to analyze the association between social support and stress levels toward positive COVID -19 patients in Palu, Central Sulawesi Province. This is quantitative research with an analytical design and cross-sectional approach. The population is a total of positive COVID-19 patients who were admitted in Anutapura Hospital, Undata Hospital, and the Emergency Unit of Central Sulawesi Province. The total sampling is 67 respondents that were taken by accidental sampling technique. Instrument of research by SSRS questionnaire has been modified by researcher, validity and reliability testing, and stress level using the DASS 21 questionnaire. It used the Chi-Square test for the statistical test. Based on statistical test we found that p-value = 0,023 < 0,05. In conclusion, we found a significant association between social support and stress levels toward positive COVID 19 patients in Palu, Central Sulawesi Province. More social support provides more slight stress level for personal experiences.

Abstract

One of the hard motoric that should be done by toddler is toilet training ability to control their bowel movement and urination. Based on interview report mentioned that children in 3 years old still have difficulties in controlling the bowel movement and urination and instead of it they wear diapers. Diapers wearing in long time and continously become one of barrier for children in performing toilet training. The aims of research to analys the correlation of diapers wearing with toilet training ability toward toddler in Sausu Torono Village. The type of research is quantitaive with analyses design and cross secional approached. Population is parents who have children in toddler age. The total sampling is 50 respondents that determined by slovin formula and taken by purposive sampling technique. Data analysed by chi square test. Diapers wearing as a independent variable and toilet training ability as a dependent variable. The result shown that about 26 children (52%) have diapers wearing routinely and 30 children (60%) have succesful in toilet training. The result of analyses found P value = 0,008 (P<0,05) and could be concluded that have correlation of diapers wearing with toilet training ability toward toddler in Sausu Torono Village, Sausu Subdistrict, Parigi Moutong Regency.

Abstract

The problem found in MIS Karya Thaiyyibah of Kayumalue Pajeko mentioned that there are 4 students do not understand what meaning and steps of hand washing and 2 students do not understand why hand washing with soap is important. This research aims to obtain the influences of health education toward knowledge level regarding hand washing with soap of MIS Karya Thaiyyibah students, Kayumalue Pajeko. This is quantitative research with pre-experimental design by one grup pretest-postest design. Sampling number is 24 students that taken by total sampling technique. Result of univariate shown that before doing the health education, about 12 students (50%) have enough knowledge and after it about is students (75%) have good knowledge regarding it. Bivariate analyses by Wilcoxon test and found that there is influences of health education toward knowledge level about hand washing with soap of MIS Karya Thaiyyibah Student of Kayumalue Pajeko with p value = 0,003. Conclusion that there is influences of health education toward knowledge level obout hand washing with soap of MIS Karya Thaiyyibah students of Kayumalue Pajeko. Expeeted that sehoul administration could collaborate with health worker in providing the health education regarding hand washing with soap properly to improve student’s knowledge.
