Abstract

Sopi merupakan minuman tradisional masyarakat Timor yang harus dilestraikan. Sopi berbahan baku nira lontar (Borasus flabellifer. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengeksplorasi konsep-konsep sains dalam proses pembuatan sopi dan memetakan kompetensi dasar yang dapat dintegrasikan dengan proses pembuatan sopi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif pendekatan etnosains. Subjek penelitian adalah pembuat sopi Timor di desa Manufui kecamatan Santian kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan yang berjumlah 3 orang pengrajin. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan analisis deskriptif untuk merekonstruksi proses pembuatan sopi ke konsep-konsep sains. Hasil explorasi konsep-konsep sains dalam proses pembuatan sopi adalah pengukuran, klasifikasi tumbuhan, mikroba dan laju pengembangbiakannya, perubahan fisika dan kimia, suhu, kalor, perpindahan kalor, perubahan fase dan pemisahan campuran. Implikasi hasil penelitian ini adalah potensi proses pembuatan sopi dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar yang perlu diteliti lebih lanjut pada masa mendatang.Identification of Science Concepts in the Process of Making Sopi Timor in Timor Tengah Selatan DistrictAbstractSopi is a traditional Timorese drink that must be preserved. Sopi made from palm sap (Borasus flabellifer). The purpose of this research is to explore scientific concepts in the process of making sopi and to map basic competencies that can be integrated with the process of making sopi. The research method used is a qualitative method with an ethnoscience approach. in Manufui village, Santian sub-district, Timor Tengah Selatan district, totaling 3 craftsmen. Data collection techniques are through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis to reconstruct the process of making sopi into scientific concepts. Results of exploration of concepts science in the process of making sopi is the measurement, classification of plants, microbes and their breeding rates, physical and chemical changes, temperature, heat, heat transfer, phase changes and mixture separation. The implication of this research is that the potential of the sopi-making process can be used as a source of bells. which need to be investigated further in the future.

Abstract

Students are less active in learning, lack motivation, textbooks are full of mathematical equations without detailed explanations, and use conventional methods. LKS can be used as an alternative medium to improve problem-solving skills. This study aims to develop pro video logger-based worksheets based on the guided discovery that is valid and effective to improve problem-solving for prospective physics teachers. The research method used is ADDIE. The research subjects were 36 mechanical engineering students. The research instrument used was a validation sheet and a test instrument for problem-solving skills. LKS is feasible to use if it is valid in the category of high validity and reliability, there are significant differences in the pretest and posttest, and the increase in problem-solving skills in the medium N-gain test category is minimal. The results showed that the LKS is valid with an average validity of 0.88 with a high validity category, the value of R = 0.752 > 0.70 means reliable, the Wilcoxon equation. Sig. = 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there is a significant difference pretest and posttest, and the average N-gain = 0.64 in the medium category, minimum and maximum N-gain = 0.087 and 0.640

Abstract

ABSTRAKTarian okomama merupakan tarian dari suku Amanuban untuk penerimaan tamu. Tarian ini hanya dilatihkan kepada siswa di sekolah dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Akan tetapi, belum adanya kajian etnofisika dalam gerak tarian okomama. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis konsep fisika dalam gerak tarian okomama. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif pendekatan etnofisika. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data melalui tahap reduksi, interpretasi dan verifikasi data. Validasi data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi sumber data dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep fisika dalam gerak tarian okmama adalah konsep perubahan energi potensial okomama sesuai gerak penari pada fase gerak awal masuk, fase gerak persiapan dan fase gerak penyerahan okomama. Materi fisika SMA yang dapat dikaitkan dengan tarian okomama adalah konsep perubahan energi potensial dan penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan demikian, kajian konsep fisika dalam tarian okomama dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar fisika. Kata kunci: tarian okomama; energi potensial; etnofisika; etonsains. ABSTRACTThe okomama dance is a dance from the Amanuban tribe for receiving guests. This dance is only taught to students at school in extracurricular activities. However, there has been no ethnophysics study on the okomama dance movement. The purpose of this research is to analyze the concept of physics in the okomama dance moves. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with an ethnophysics approach. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, interpretation, and verification. Data validation was carried out using data source triangulation techniques and literature studies. The results showed that the concept of physics in the motion of the okomama dance is the concept of changing the potential energy of the okomama according to the movement of the dancers in the initial entry phase, the preparatory phase, and the delivery phase of the okomama. High school physics material that can be related to the okomama dance is the concept of potential energy change and its application in everyday life. Thus, the study of physics concepts in the okomama dance can be used as a source of learning physics. Keywords: okomama dance; potential energy; etnophysics; etnoscience.

Abstract

Stunting adalah masalah gagal tumbuh pada bayi akibat kurang nutrisi kronis selama 1.000 hari pertama kehidupan yang menghambat pertumbuhan linier pada anak balita dan mempengaruhi kemampuan kognitif mereka. Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT) dapat menjadi solusi untuk menangani stunting pada balita, terutama makanan keluarga berbasis bahan pangan lokal. Namun, seringkali PMT pada bayi/balita kurang diperhatikan terutama dalam hal kepadatan zat gizinya. Prevalensi anak stunting di Desa Tetaf, Kabupaten TTS cukup tinggi. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan upaya untuk meningkatkan penanganan stunting melalui pelatihan pengolahan pangan lokal bagi ibu anak PAUD dalam pengolahan sayuran menjadi stik. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa KKNT Institut Pendidikan Soe bekerja sama dengan Puskesmas kecamatan Kuatnana Kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta dalam pembuatan stik sayur sebagai makanan pendamping ASI dan PMT yang sehat dan bergizi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini dapat membantu mencegah stunting pada anak-anak dan memberikan manfaat bagi ibu siswa PAUD dalam mempersiapkan makanan tambahan lokal yang seimbang dan bergizi untuk anak-anak mereka. Kegiatan ini berdampak positif bagi masyarakat setempat dan memberikan kontribusi bagi penanganan stunting pada anak-anak di  Desa Tetaf.

Abstract

This research aims to produce valid and reliable flipped classroom learning cycle 5E Inquiry physics learning devices that are suitable for use in learning. The research method is quantitative. The research subjects were learning tools, namely lesson plans, worksheets, and test instruments. The learning device validators consist of five people from expert elements of physics lecturers and teachers as practitioners. Data collection techniques used validation questionnaires. The data analysis technique used descriptive quantitative with the Aiken formula and percentage of agreement. The learning device is declared valid if the value of V aspects assessed is > 0.80 on the criteria of high validity and is reliable with a percentage of agreement > 75%. The results showed that the lesson plans, worksheets, and test instruments with a validity value of > 0.80 and a percentage of agreement > 75% meant they were reliable. Thus, it is concluded that the learning tools are valid and reliable so that they are suitable for use in learning. It is suggested that this learning tool can be used as an alternative solution to increase the HOTS of junior high school students.

Abstract

The study aims to test the effectiveness of using the audio analysis software, Mictester, on smartphones in experiments on standing waves in order to improve students' understanding of concepts in high school. The sample consisted of 19 students of 11th grade at State High School 1 SoE. The instrument used was a test sheet of conceptual understanding of standing wave matter. The results show a significant improvement in students' understanding of concepts after the application of Mictester for audio analysis on Android devices/smartphones. Thus, standing wave experiments that utilize Mictesters software for audio analytics can be an alternative in physics learning, replacing conventional experimental equipment such as oscilloscopes, thereby reducing the cost of experiments.

Abstract

Teaching physics concepts using a philosophy of science approach is important for understanding how physical scientists develop theories. The concepts of quantities, units, and dimensions in physics, such as horsepower (hp), are fundamental to learning from school to college. However, there is still a lack of philosophical understanding of the concept of horsepower in the context of physics teaching, leading to a deficiency in this understanding. This study proposes a philosophical exploration of the concept of horsepower from the perspectives of epistemology, ontology, and axiology. The research methods used include in-depth literature studies, conceptual analysis, and case studies related to the implications of horsepower in automotive industrial engineering. The results demonstrate that the concept of horsepower can be examined from various philosophical perspectives, including aspects of epistemology in its development, ontology in understanding its existence, and axiology in considering the values associated with its use. This philosophical exploration not only enhances the understanding of physics concepts but also encourages deeper reflection on the relationship between humans, technology, and nature
