Abstract

Development experts and skilled professionals in Indonesia is still needed today. This paper highlights the development efforts of experts and professionals in the Indonesias executive power, as well as scientific studies which could give input for the government or educational institutions and industry. The approach used in this paper is library study by exploring the relevant references to the topic, and performed descriptive analysis. Institutions, such as universities and secondary vocational schools, are expected to produce skilled professionals with specific competence requirements. It is expected the government to prioritize opportunities to those less educated to follow a course skills, because they are the largest part of todays workforce. The weakness today is still a lot of educational institutions that do not have adequate infrastructure according to the requirements specified. The important conclusion is that the government is expected to give impetus and greater responsibility for higher education institutions, vocational schools and training centers and courses of work skills. In addition to the certification body to work more effectively because many Indonesian workers within and outside the country who do not yet have certification.

Abstract

Research of the National Family Planning Program Management in Jakarta is the follow-up study that analyzes the role of the relationship manager / executive of Family Planning, the availability of caunsellor and cadres as well as the readiness of Family Planning services to the dependent variable. Dependet variable is the interaction of the managers/implementers Family Planning to the achievement of family planning program in Jakarta. The purpose of this study was to obtain analytical results in the relationship of important variables in the management of family planning programs in Jakarta as a basis for priority activities proposed in the action plan of the family planning program in Jakarta. This study uses quantitative analysis with the technic of achieving sample by stratified random sampling, with a total sample of 198 respondents from the Provincial, Municipal and District Level. After the research team analyzes the results of the regression relationships of variables to provide conclusions and recommendations as an attempt to formulate strategic activities in the implementation of the National Family Planning Program in Jakarta. It can be concluded that there is influence and significant simultaneous relationship between the role of managing/implementing family planning programs and the readiness of Family Planning services in their effort to the success of family planning programs in Jakarta. Based on the results of quantitative data processing of the regression equation with the interpretation output LISREL with the value of R square of 0.493 or 49.3 percent.

Abstract

This research aims to explore and find the determinant factors as it is important for the development of group UPPKS management in Jakarta Provincial through a qualitative descriptive approach. The number of respondents was limited for 2 groups that are still active in the Regional Municipality of East Jakarta in Pulogebang Village and West Jakarta in Kemanggisan Village. Research was conducted through in-depth interview with 2 officers and 2 members of the group; focus group discussion was followed by 8 members at each location. The findings of this study indicate that the lack of funds/start-up capital has not gained sufficient leverage; the absence of other sources of funding, in fact, almost all are individual business, so that managed such as savings and credit groups. Growing effort is being supported by additional capital that sought its own members, as well as the selection of profitable business activities. Group leader and members favored form of technical training, certain items are more salable. More individual businesses selling food and beverages are for their money-faster turnaround, rest handicraft products do not sell quickly, and thus this is the advantage of learning process through UPPKS. Recommendation for Jakarta Provincial Government is to make regulation and build relationship with Financial Institution to support the UPPKS.

Abstract

The employee professionalism and behavior development are important issues related to their job performance, job satisfaction, and future career. The future of human resource’ needs are determined by the organization’s mission, goal, and strategiy. This research used literature review and other study sources related to the topic using descriptive analysis method. The view study shows that demand for employees are result of demand for the organization’s products or services, more productivities, to reach high performances of revenue and profit. Based on that, management can attempt to establish the number of mix employees needed attempt to reach it. Company’s compensation and benefit program didn’t allow for giving rises to employee who stayed in the same position. The only way for management to reward the top performers was to give them a bonus or promote them to another position. It is more important to adjust the individual professionalism and behavior with the organizational culture and behavior through employee training and course program. The best opportunity for an employee is to catch on job at or to be a manager in another country to get the different experience than their host country as a global attitude. This is a global-oriented view that focuses on using the best approaches.

Abstract

This study focused on opportunities related to the professional growth of tourism in Indonesia at this time and in the future. The proportion of workers in the tourism sector, including the fourth largest after agriculture, manufacturing and non-manufacturing, tends to grow very fast, because tourists visiting Indonesia will increase sharply in coming years. The purpose of this study is to provide advice to the government, tourism, and educational institutions in Indonesias tourism industry together, and to support each other to improve the quality and quantity of human resources in tourism in the present and the future in Indonesia. Data and information gathered from various sources perform literature review and discussion of the need for professional projections based on existing data and information and resume discussions and depth interview with lecturer of tourism and a SWOT analysis as a qualitative analysis. This study gave recommendation that Indonesia needs to improve the quantity and quality of human resources in tourism to become the domain of educational institutions, ranging from tourism vocational high school, Academy, College, and Tourism Courses at the University. Therefore the government should seriously facilitate the tourism educational institutions to achieve quality accreditation as required.

Abstract

Knowledge management is an emerging discipline and professionalism, creativity, innovation, organization and teams need to be thought about in this new context. This paper creates a framework in which to discuss these concepts with literature research. It goes on to explore how our professionalisms, creativity and innovations is blocked in variety ways, including deep-seated beliefs about the world. The need for professional skills today in workplace faces a number of challenges, especially in unfamiliar and unpredictable situations. Finally this paper takes a brief look at two tools to support knowledge management, professionalisms, creativity and innovations - one in the human domain and the other in the technology domain. We are also needs to boost its capacity for continuous professionalism, creativity and innovation for both technology, social, economic, and organization reasons.

Abstract

Interaction model of family planning program management field lines are enhanced as one objective of family planning program revitalization. This research was conducted by exploration activities with qualitative approach (in-depth interviews and group discussion forums) for reconstructing a "model of enhanced interaction". The basic concept of enhanced interaction models are built based on the concept of empowerment, coordination, accompaniment, financing through civil society organizations and the Government of DKI Jakarta. Improvements made to the enhanced interaction models are in the field of family planning services. This study aims to improve the effectiveness of the implementation of the national family planning program and the implementation of the program of economic empowerment of the family in the long-term periods characterized by interaction changes of family planning program management team in the district level and the executive of family planning program in the village level effectively and efficiently. In order to improve the cultivation of family planning program field line, it is necessary to improve the status of Village Family Planning Executive Team to become Village Family Planning Management Team as a more effective management approach. This study recommends that the Government of DKI Jakarta to support operational costs and Activity Groups in RW level. The expected impact is the increase of the proportion of active family planning participants towards PUS in the area of research, especially for pre-prosperous Families and prospreous-I families (Poor). Poor families who join family planning program have the priority access to poverty reduction through economic empowerment of the family planning participants, and it is expected to be implemented in the province of Jakarta.

Abstract

This study aimed to provide inputs for local government of Toba Samosir (Tobasa) in preparing strategic development plan of tourist destinations in District Tobasa. This study is a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and feedback from forum discussion groups with participants representing community leaders, indigenous peoples, governments and travel business. Total participants are 15 people collected on June 1, 2012 at Balige government office. Discussion forums formulated nine locations of tourist destination spread in Toba Samosir. As result this research, we formulated four strategic plans with tactical plans; (1) specifying and establish the location of tourist destinations in the District Tobasa; (2) submitting plans to the government budget or through the budget of Tobasa district in five years starting in 2014 to follow; (3) conducting government financing for infrastructure development and tourism industry participation; (4) doing tourism and cultural promotion. We found limitations for the plan. Some of them were: the low budget provided by the District government so that we expected supports from domestic investors to accelerate tourism development in the area. Most activities were proposed under the action plan of both Tobasa District government and North Sumatra Government.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to measure whether there was a relationship of knowledge, feelings or affection, and behavior towards family planning with Long Term Contraceptive Method (LTCM) and the practice of Family Planning and Small Family Happy Prosperous Norm (SFHPN).The method used in this research was the quantitative approach with 1501 respondents that comprised of Eligible Couple that aged 15-49 years. The findings of this study are as many as 62,9% respondents use modern contraceptives, and 39,7% from the total of participants use LTCM. Then 75% of respondents want to use LTCM in the future. Family Planning Behavior has the significant relation to Family Planning Attitude. Considerable influence attitude towards practice SFHPN is low. Likewise, attitude towards practice LTCM is still low, and the attitude towards LTCM to practice SFHPN is also still low. The recommendations need to increase of communication, information, and education to Eligible Couples (Elco) on feeling safe and comfortable to use contraception LTCM. Recommendation from analysis and result is expected to be input into strategies and policies on education related to the cultivation of the National Family Planning program in Jakarta.
