Abstract

Nowadays, some typical traditional snacks have been hard to find in the market and not even served during Hari Raya. One of the MSMEs in Jambi, Dapur Mama Fafi, trying to preserve the typical food of Jambi such as Kembang Goyang with a more contemporary taste. The market response to this product is quite evident even during the pandemic. The problem faced by MSME partners is the absence of a logo for brand identity. Moreover, product packaging in the form of transparent plastic causes fragility, especially during delivery. For this reason, the purpose of this activity is to help MSMEs design packaging more attractive and safe for long-distance delivery. The method of implementing this activity is to conduct interviews with business owners to find out the problems faced, create a logo, and also design packaging following with the expectations of business owners. The results obtained from this activity are the logo as a brand identity as well as a stronger and safer packaging in maintaining the durability and quality of the products. Hope this activity can increase brand awareness of snack products sold by MSME Dapur Mama Fafi.Pada saat ini, beberapa kudapan tradisional khas suatu daerah sudah sulit ditemui di pasaran bahkan sudah tidak disajikan pada saat Hari Raya.Salah satu UMKM di Jambi yaitu Dapur Mama Fafi mencoba untuk melestarikan makanan khas daerah Jambi yang salah satunya adalah kue tradisional Kembang Goyang dengan rasa yang lebih kekinian. Respon pasar terhadap produk ini cukup baik terbukti dengan jumlah pemesanan yang cenderung stabil meskipun di masa pandemi. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra UMKM adalah belum adanya logo untuk identitas merek dan kemasan produk yang berupa plastik transparan menyebabkan mudah rapuhnya produknya terlebih jika dikirimkan ke luar kota. Untuk itu, tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk membantu UMKM berinovasi dengan melakukan desain kemasan produk yang lebih menarik dan aman untuk pengiriman jarak jauh. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah dengan melakukan wawancara kepada pemilik usaha untuk mengetahui permasalahan yang dihadapi berkaitan dengan penjualan produknya. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara maka tim abdimas memutuskan untuk membuatkan logo dan desain kemasan sesuai dengan harapan dari pemilik usaha. Luaran dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa logo sebagai identitas merek serta kemasan yang lebih kuat dan aman dalam menjaga ketahanan dan kualitas dari kembang goyang. Diharapkan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini mampu meningkatkan brand awareness dari produk kudapan yang dijual oleh UMKM Dapur Mama Fafi.

Abstract

Laila Collection, which is engaged in clothing sewing services, is one of many MSMEs who got impact from the Covid-19 pandemic. The orders have decreased dramatically due to restrictions on activities in the community. This is increasing due to changes in consumer consumption since the pandemic that chooses health products over fashion. Based on these conditions, this activity aims to help Laila Collection to survive in current conditions by utilizing the opportunities and resources currently available. The activity begins with identifying business opportunities with the results of the cloth mask business as a promising business. Consumer demand for cloth masks is quite high because consumers not only use cloth masks as personal protection equipment but are also more costeffective because they can be washed and appear more fashionable. Further activities include determining the market segment to be addressed so that the design of the product is more targeted, the creation of fabric mask product designs that have unique values and how to do online marketing. The results obtained from this activity are that the owner of Laila Collection can take advantage of the current opportunity by producing cloth masks that have unique designs. In addition, this activity also raises awareness of MSME owners to use online marketing, both social media and marketplace
