Abstract

Non Performing Financing is one of the important indicators in assessing the financial health of Islamic Commercial Banks. This study aims to determine the magnitude of the influence of FDR, BOPO, Net Imbalan, Inflation, and Exchange Rate on Non Performing Financing which is proxied by the NPF ratio. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method, and the data analysis technique used is panel data regression analysis. The population in this study includes Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) during the period 2015–2024. The data used is secondary data in the form of a combination of time series and cross-section data, where the bank's quarterly reports are obtained from the official websites of each bank. Data related to inflation and exchange rates are obtained from the official website of Bank Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that FDR and BOPO have a significant positive effect on the NPF ratio. Meanwhile, the Exchange Rate (Kurs) has a significant negative effect on the NPF ratio. Net Imbalan and Inflation do not have a significant effect on the NPF ratio. Simultaneously, all independent variables influence the NPF ratio. The results of this study are expected to provide contributions in the form of useful insights for bank management, especially in managing financing risks. Thus, this study is expected to be able to support the improvement of the stability and performance of Islamic Commercial Banking in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract. The halal cosmetics industry in Indonesia demonstrates strong resilience despite global macroeconomic pressures. The lipstick effect phenomenon is crucial to examine because halal cosmetics serve not only as aesthetic commodities but also as instruments of psychological resilience and spiritual identity for Muslim consumers amidst economic uncertainty. This study aims to explain the relationship between macroeconomic variables exchange rate, inflation, interest rate, GDP, and unemployment rate and the sales of halal cosmetic products at PT Mandom Indonesia Tbk through the lens of Maqasid al-Shariah and the Lipstick Effect phenomenon. The article adopts Keynesian consumption theory and consumer behavior theory, emphasizing that spending decisions are influenced not only by income but also by psychological and spiritual factors. Using a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression on quarterly data from 2017–2024, the results show that the exchange rate has a negative and significant effect on sales (β = –2.623; p = 0.0023), while inflation, interest rate, and GDP have positive but insignificant effects. These findings suggest that rupiah depreciation reduces sales, whereas halal cosmetic consumption remains stable due to spiritual motivation and the principles of hifz al-nafs and hifz al-mal.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital access to information has transformed hadith studies, creating a critical challenge in the widespread dissemination of fabricated traditions and the limited availability of reliable digital verification systems. This study aims to examine the evolution of hadith verification from classical scholarship to contemporary digital approaches and to evaluate their effectiveness in preserving authenticity. A qualitative approach was employed through a literature review and historical comparative analysis to trace the development of hadith criticism, from traditional sanad and matan evaluation to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain. The findings indicate that although digital platforms enhance accessibility and accelerate dissemination, current verification tools remain insufficient for comprehensive and accurate authentication. Consequently, classical methodologies continue to serve an indispensable role in maintaining scholarly rigor. Besides, this study argues for an integrative framework combining traditional hadith criticism with advanced technological innovations to address current challenges. Hence, it concludes that such synergy provides a more reliable pathway for safeguarding hadith authenticity and offers a conceptual foundation for developing robust digital verification systems capable of mitigating contemporary disinformation.
