Abstract

Abstract Background. Prevalensidiabetes mellitus in Indonesia potentially increased dramatically from 8.4 million people in 2000 to 21.3 million people in 2030. Diabetes mellitus may develop so bad with various complicated, diabetus mellitus of year to year growing a wide range of treatment options including non- medicinal chemistry ( Hebal ) . One type of therapy is continuously studied using mangosteen peel efectivitness. Research Objectives. Knowing the effect of the consumption of mangosteen rind to decrease blood sugar in the Village District of Boja Meteseh Kendal This is a research Methods. Quasi experiment with pre- post design eksperimental.Responden study are all patients with diabetes mellitus in the village of Boja Meteseh many as 17 people , as many as 16 samples taken. Sampling technic used was simple random sampling . Data obtained by the method of observation of assessing the results of measurements of blood sugar levels before and after taking of mangosteen skin . The data were processed with pairet t - test ( p = 0.05 ) using SPSS 18 . Results : ( 1 ) blood sugar levels before taking mangosteen peel at the most in the range of 301-400 mg / dL with a percentage of 43.75 % , the lowest blood sugar levels in the category of 501-600 mg / dL , with a percentage of 12.5 % , with an average value of 392.63 . ( 2 ) Blood sugar levels after consumption of mangosteen peel at the most in the range of 200-300 mg / dL , the percentage of blood sugar levels are the lowest in the category of 501-600 mg / dL , with a percentage of 12.5 % , with an average value of 371.31 mg / dL ( 3 ) There are significant differences in blood sugar levels before and after consuming mangosteen peel with a value of 0.001 t - Test Conclusion : Consumption of mangosteen peel significant effect on lowering blood sugar levels by t - test results of 5 % ( 0.05), obtained P value of 0.001. Abstract

AbstractBackground. Pre-surgical patient anxiety often occur. Based on initial interviews with the majority of patients pre-surgical have anxiety with diferent level. Nursing intervention to deal the matter by providing health education although this intervention rarely give at the first day surgical period as a routine during the day prior to this it was only done as a routine and its effectiveness has not been investigated. The purpose of the study. (1) determine the level of anxiety patient’s pre-surgery before being given pre-surgical health education. (2) determine the level of patient anxiety pre-surgery after being given a pre-surgical health education. (3) determine the effect of pre-surgical health education to the patient's level of anxiety pre-surgery at the Hospital Dr. Oen Surakarta Research Design. This study was a quasi-experimental study (quasi exsperiment) using all responden preoperative patients who were treated at the Hospital Dr. Oen Surakarta. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and with used Seruni and Soka Ward’s Hospital Dr. Oen Surakarta. measure was a questionnaire containing 20 statements. The data collected were analyzed by paired t-dependent test used SPSS for Windows series 18. The results of the study. (1) the average value of patient anxiety before given health education 13.33, median 14.00, mode of 14 and a standard deviation of 2,690. (2) the average value of the patient's pre-surgical anxiety after being given a pre-surgical health education 9,000, median 9,000, mode 9,000 and standard deviation 2,360. Conclusion pre-surgical health education impact significantly reduce anxiety by t-test result of 0.000.Keywords : Health Education, Pre Surgery, Anxiety Levels

Abstract

Background. Some study showed that celery of many substances such asglukoside apiin, isokuersetin, umbiliseron, calsium, triptofan and also somevitamins. The substance have pharmalogical effect, one of them is reducing theblood pressure.The purpose Of this study was to determine the effect of consuming celery toreduction of high blood pressure in elderly who suffered hypertension.The subject Used in this study were the elderly who suffered hypertensionSringin village. The sampling technique used total sampling and the total numberof sampling were 35 people.Methods Used in this study was pre experiment design. 10 peoples consumingcelery once a day, 10 peoples consuming celery twice a day and 15 peoplesconsuming celery more than three times a day. All the people was suggested toconsuming celery during one month. The blood pressure was measured twotimes, before and after consuming celery. Data processing used paired t-teststatistical test with significan level α = 0,05.Conclusion The result showed p = 0,0001. It can be concluded that consumingcelery gave significant effect on reducing blood pressure in elderly withhypertension.Keywords: reduction in high blood pressure,celery

Abstract

Background. Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experienceassociated with actual or potensial tissue damage or describe in termis of suchdamage. One of many factor caused pain was surgery. Relaxation technique isone nonpharmacological intervention to reduce pain in patients with postoperative.Purpose. This study was to determine the effect of relaxation technique toreduce pain on patients post operative at Dr.Oen Solo Baru hospital.Method. This study used pre and post experiment design. The samplingtechnique used consecutive sampling wth total number subject of sampling were25 patients. The pain scale was measured before and after intervention. Datawas analyzed by paired t-test statistical test with significance level α 0.05 and thedegree of permanence (dk) : 24Conclusion The result shoed t : 2.064 means that t count > t table(7.855>2.064). it can be concluded that relaxation technique can reduce pain onpatients post operative at Dr.Oen Solo Baru Hospital.Keywords : Relaxation Techniques, Pain Scale, Post Operative

Abstract

Background: Indonesia has a high risk of contracting dengue fever because it has spread to all regions. Dengue fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by dengue virus with the clinical manifestations of fever characterized by shock. The DHF cases is still occurred on Dukuh Gunung in Pucangan Kartasura Sukoharjo, it is caused the 3M plus program has not been implemented optimally and there has not been a study record how is the level of the villagers knowledge about the dengue disease.Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of the villagers knowledge about the dengue disease with the dengue fever prevention efforts on Dukuh Gunung Villagers of RT 01, RW 12 in Pucangan Kartasura, Sukoharjo.Research’s Design: This study is analytical research, designed by correlation and cross sectional approach. The study population was the head of all families in Dukuh Gunung RT 01, RW 12, Pucangan, Kartasura, Sukoharjo. Sample amount of 66 head of families. The sampling technique is random sampling. Datas were analyzed by chi square with SPSS 18.Research’s Result: (1) The average value of the villagers knowledge about the dengue fever is high category. (2) The average value of the dengue prevention efforts is good category. (3) The result of chi square test with p obtained 0,004 so, p < 0,05.Research’s conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the level of the villagers knowledge about the dengue disease with the dengue fever prevention efforts on Dukuh Gunung Villagers of RT 01, RW 12 Pucangan, Kartasura, Sukoharjo. Keyword :The levels of knowledge, The dengue fever, Prevention effortsÂ
