ABSTRAKPerkembangannya Kota Lama Kendari menjadi pusat perekonomian pertama di Kota Kendari ditandai denganberdirinya Pasar Tradisional pertama pada tahun 1964, namun seiring perkembangan zaman kearah yang lebih modernKota Lama Kendari mengelami penurunan perekonomian dalam hal perdagangan. Seperti yang kita ketehaui bahwakawasan kota lama saat ini menjadi destinasi wisata baru di kota Kendari setelah berdirinya jembatan bahteramas yangmenjadi salah satu ikon baru. Dan harus adanya wadah seperti pusat wisata kuliner yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhanpengunjung dalam berwisata guna memajukan kembali perekonomian dibidang perdagangan di kota lama kendari. Olehkarena itu senada dengan penempatan lokasi perencanaan yang terletak disekitar teluk Kendari maka penulis mengambilpendekatan Waterfront City. Ditujukan untuk; pertama; menentukan tapak/site dalam merencanakan pusat wisata kulinerdengan pendekatan Waterfront City di Kota Lama Kendari; Kedua, mengetahui apakah potensi pada Tapak dapatmendukung perencanaan pusat wisata kuliner di Kota Lama Kendari; Ketiga, mengetahui proses perencanaan gedung pusatwisata kuliner dengan pendekatan Waterfront City. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data kuantitatif dankualitatif, analisa, kemudian tahap rancangan. Berdasarkan hasil desain perencanaan disimpulkan sebagai berikut; Pertama,tapak ditempatkan pada ruang terbuka disebelah Pelabuhan nusantara; Kedua, potensi pada tapak meliputi view telukKendari yang mendukung aktivitas berwisata; Ketiga, pendekatan waterfront city diterapkan pada fisik bangunan danKawasan pusat wisata kuliner.Kata Kunci : Kota Lama Kendari, Pusat Wisata Kuliner, Waterfront City.ABSTRACTThe development of Kendari Old Town into the first economic center in Kendari City was marked by the establishmentof the first Traditional Market in 1964, but along with the development of the times towards a more modern Kendari OldTown experienced a decline in the economy in terms of trade. As we know that the old city area is now a new touristdestination in the city of Kendari after the establishment of the Bahteramas bridge which became one of the new icons. Andthere must be a container such as a culinary tourism center that can meet the needs of visitors on a tour in order to repromotethe economy in the trade sector in the old city of Kendari. Therefore, in line with the placement of the planninglocation which is located around Kendari Bay, the author takes the Waterfront City approach. Intended for; first;determine the site/site in planning a culinary tourism center with a Waterfront City approach in the Old Town of Kendari;Second, to find out whether the potential in site can support the planning of a culinary tourism center in Kendari OldTown; Third, knowing the process of planning a culinary tourism center building with a Waterfront City approach. Thisstudy uses quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, analysis, then the design stage. Based on the results of theplanning design, it is concluded as follows; First, the site is placed in an open space next to the Indonesian port; Second,the potential on the site includes the view of Kendari Bay which supports tourist activities; Third, the waterfront cityapproach is applied to the physical building and the culinary tourism center area.Keywords : Kendari Old Town, Culinary Tourism Center, Waterfront City.
