Abstract

Judul dari penelitian ini adalah Efektifitas Dispute Irasional Relisfs (DIBS) untuk menurunkan Low Seflf Esteem Mahasiswa , Yang menjadi tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat efekitifitas Teknik Dispute Irasional Beliefs (DIBs) untuk menurunkan Low Self Esteem mahasiswa Semester 6 prodi BK Unisri tahun 2013/2014 Penelitian pra-eksperimen ini menggunakan dua jenis, instrumen, yaitu : 1) bahan perlakuan (stimulus material), dan 2) instrumen pengumpulan data. Bahan perlakuan adalah materi pengubahan yang disusun untuk digunakan dalam proses konseling kuratif, berdasarkan pendekatan REBT. Prosesnya adalah 1) Empirical disputing, yaitu upaya menelusuri dan menemukan (detecting) irB, 2) Logical disputing, yaitu upaya untuk menyangga dan menyerang (debating) irB, dan 3) Pragmatical disputing, yaitu membedakan (discriminating) irB dan rB (Corey, 1996; Seligman, 1995:194). Sedangkan proses pengubahannya, memuat enam pertanyaan menantang irrational belief system (IrB) yang berfungsi untuk: 1) dispute awfulizing, 2) dispute I can't stand it, should, ought, and must (personal imperatives), 4) challenge I can't stand it, 5) self-acceptance, dan 6) correct misperception of reality dan habit forming( Bernard & Joice, 1986:347-395; Ellis, 1994). Abstract

The title of this study is EFFECTIVENESS OF THE ACADEMIC ADVISOR IN SERVE GUIDED STUDENT (Research on Study Program Counseling and Guidance  Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Slamet Riyadi University Surakarta, Academic Year 2012/2013), This study aims at determining the effectiveness of academic advisor functions in serving guided student.This research is descriptive qualitative. The data is collected by using a questionnaire, while the analysis process of the data is by using the percentage. Based on the research results and leverage the data, it can be seen that the average of lecture of Counseling and Guidance Faculty of Teachers Training and Education has not implemented the duties of academic advisor efficiency.  Most lectures (83, 33%) are considered by students to be ineffective in carrying out its function as Academic Advisor. However, there is one lecture that considered has implemented the duties of academic advisor efficiency.  Academic advisor activity that not been effective prevalent both in service to students before classes start, during and after the class held over.   Keywords: Function of Academic Advisor, Serving Students
