Abstract

Flow sensors have an important role in ventilator anesthesia machines, where flow sensors function to monitor air flow and pressure to obtain the amount of air volume and pressure delivered to the patient. If the volume of air entering the patient does not match the capacity of the patient's lungs, it can endanger the patient. So that a flow sensor is needed in order to know the accuracy of the volume that will be given to the patient.

Abstract

Shortwave Diathermy BTL 6000 is a therapy device that emits short waves that are used to warm up deep tissues and blood vessels. Shortwave Diathermy utilizes a certain frequency as a heat generator which is channeled into the patient's body tissues through electrodes and how does the time of therapy affect the heat of the body being treated. Research on Timer Analysis of the BTL 6000 Brand Shortwave Diathermy Tool was carried out using 3 time trials, then the timing was compared to the measuring instrument used, namely a stopwatch. The time settings used include 10 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes. The BTL 6000 Brand Shortwave Diathermy Tool worked well, the device's Timer setting system worked well, and the stopwatch was used as a comparison tool for timer measurements. Timer setting with a time of 10 Minutes, there is a time difference of 12 seconds faster than the stopwatch, Frequency mode with output power of 50 Watt, frequency 300 Hz and Effect Power 6.0 Watt. , Continuous Mode with 20 Watt output power, and 20 Watt Effect Power, While on the timer setting with a time of 30 minutes, there is a difference in time of 9 seconds longer than the stopwatch, Continuous Mode with 20 Watt power output, and Effect Power 20 Watt, In this mode Continuous, the output of the tool has the same output, with output power = 20 Watts, medium effect Power = 20 Watts too.

Abstract

Ventilator is a mechanical aid that functions to provide breathing assistance so that patients breathe easier. this study aims to determine how the blower works in mixing oxygen and what is the rotational speed of the blower when mixing. This research was conducted by the integrated laboratory of USM-I. The research method used was descriptive with the from of quantitative survey implementation. Which aims to analyze the working principle of the blower on the ventolator. This research was conducted using a Hamilton C2 ventilator. in the blower flow measurement is done from the preassure setting points 5, 15, 25, 35, 55. The results of this study indicate that the blower works welol on the ventilator and the measurement results of each blower flow value reading does not exceed the predetermined standard limit of ±10%.

Abstract

An infusion pump is a very important tool to assist doctors in treating patients who are in treatment.Continous health care needs to be supported by equipment that is always in a ready to use condition and can function properly.Formulation of the problem: 1. How is the implementation of technical maintenance of the infusion pump in the hospital. 2. How the performance and repair of the infusion pump in the hospital. Objectives: 1. Todetermine the maintenance of the infusion pump in the hospital. 2. To find out the troubleshooting of the infusion pump.This research method is descriptive research type,aims to analyze the maintenance of the infusion pump and also to determine the results of the data obtained after observation and conclusion.The results of research conducted at the general hospital in the Sibuhuan area.This research,maintenance of the infusion pump was carried out in three stages of maintenance,namely: Monthly maintenance and quarterly maintenance and 6 monthly maintenance.The conclusion from the results of the discussion of research carried out on maintenance of the infusion pump can be concluded that the maintenance is carried out properly.

Abstract

Shortwave Diathermy is one of the medical equipment that is a supporting aspect of the implementation of health service activities, and also really needs maintenance and supervision to avoid malfunctions. Shortwave Diathermy (SWD) is one of the therapeutic equipment and also a modality of heat with therapeutic application techniques using high-frequency radio electric currents by converting electromagnetic energy into heat energy. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of shortwave diathermy maintenance at Hermina General Hospital Medan. This research was conducted at General Hospital Hermina Medan Jl. Dormitory/Ampera II, Kec. Sei Sikambing C-II, Kec. Medan Helvetia by providing a questionnaire sheet containing questions/statements. The type of research used is a qualitative descriptive method conducted from June 2018. The results obtained from the respondents, from 24 questionnaires there were 23 questionnaires answered Yes and 1 questionnaire answered No. It was concluded that the implementation of the Shortwave Diathermy maintenance at Hermina General Hospital Medan was running properly, and was declared good.
