Abstract

Kerajinan anyaman purun mempunyai nilai ekonomi yang besar. Salah satu kendala dalam pengembangan kerajinan anyaman purun adalah proses produksi yang masih tradisional sehingga belum mampu memenuhi permintaan pasar dan kualitas produknya yang masih rendah. Melalui kegiatan KKN-PPM mahasiswa FMIPA ULM membuat alat pewarna purun semi otomatis untuk meningkatkan efisiensi proses pewarnaan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan alat pewarna tersebut dapat mempercepat proses pewarnaan hingga 4 kali dibandingkan proses pewarnaan tradisional. Penyempurnaan alat tersebut masih diperlukan untuk menghilangkan komponen biaya produksi yang lain.

Abstract

Acoustic wave equation with Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions causeincident wave was perfectly reflected at edge. Thus, it is used absorbing boundary conditionsthat produce no reflection. In this paper, we would like find approximation of absorbingconditions that produce reflection coefficient as small as possible and smaller than thoseobtained from Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions.

Abstract

Ordinary differential equation (ODE) is an equation involving derivatives of one or more dependent variables with respect to single independent variable. ODE is grouped into two part; linear and nonlinear. There are some methods to determine the solution of nonlinear ODE, one of them is Variational Iteration Method. This method create a correction functional using general Lagrange multiplier and a restricted variational. The purpose of this research is to prove convergence and solution ordinary differential equation using variational iteration method. This study was conducted by literary method. This result is show that If operator of correction satisfy contraction inequality ‖????????????????+1‖≤???????? ‖????????????????‖ where 0<????????<1, then series solution from differential equation nonlinear converge to exact solution and can be used to determine the nonlinear solution.

Abstract

natural domain require an artificial boundary condition for reducing the size of its natural domain. One of these boundary conditions is absorbing boundary condition. This paper will construct an absorbing boundary condition with Padé approximations and numerical solution by finding the difference equation.

Abstract

Huang and Zhang introduced the cone metric space, by replacing codomain from the set of real numbers into an ordered Banach space on a cone, where the cone is a non empty subset of real Banach space that satisfy certain other properties. In this study also explained about the norm space which is a pair of a vector space with a norm that satisfy some specific properties. Furthermore, Banach space is a complete norm space and space norm says completed if every Chaucy sequence in norm space is convergent.In this paper, the researcher want to study how to metrizability of metric spaces via renorming the Banach spaces. This research was conducted by explaining and proving how to metrizability of cone metric spaces via renorming the Banach spaces. The result is a metric space cone can be made into an ordinary metric space with a metric defined by ????????(????????,????????)=‖|????????(????????,????????)|‖

Abstract

Fuzzy logic provides a solution to the problem of uncertainty, because in real life often encountered things that are uncertain or vague and sometimes difficult to resolve firmly. Fuzzy logic is able to overcome the uncertainty in real-life cases. One is the problem of determining the right location to create a particular facility such as a residential neighborhood, where there are several factors to consider and sometimes difficult to decide firmly. To make a multi-criteria decision, there are several methods that can be used. But in this research that will be used is one method of Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) is Method Extent Analysis Chang (1996). The purpose of this research is to determine optimal location of an urban housing environment by using Extent Analysis Chang Method. The decision-making process is carried out with the steps contained in Ext's Analysis (1996) method sequentially starting from criteria, sub criteria and alternatives. The final decision is made by ranking the normalized vector weighting of all criteria and sub criteria. Location A was chosen as the optimal location, because it has the highest ranking weighting that is 0.330.

Abstract

In this paper, we shall investigate formula of tangent function through determination of area of right triangle and rectangle. The consequence of this formula is used to obtain the other two trigonometric function, i.e. sine and cosine functions. Moreover, we also reprove Pythagorean theorem.
