Abstract

Onomatopoeia is an imitation of objects or events that are often used in comics and graphic novels. The approach used is an approach approach, this type of research includes library research and the method used is descriptive with research techniques namely hermeneutic techniques. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the onomatopoeic functions contained in the graphic novel Brasta Seta by Wahyu Hidayatz include a) the onomatopoeic function of describing moods, there are 107 data examples: hahaha, hu uu uu, b) the onomatopoeic function gives an impression on the objects seen, heard or felt there were 30 data Examples: breg!, shhh, c) onomatopoeic function describes there are 42 data Example: aaaa!, pyang!, d) onomatopoeic function of actions or objects that produce sound 75 data examples: kukuruyuuk, nyit nyit nyit. (2) the onomatopoeic meaning found in the graphic novel Brasta Seta by Wahyu Hidayatz is contextual meaning. The meaning of a lexeme or word that is in a context, for example the onomatopoeia “dzzyyeeerrr!!!” the sound that emerged from the explosion in the market made the situation noisy. The onomatopoeic sound in the graphic novel is because there are objects that exist and are supported by context.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study examines imperative speech politeness in the Indonesia Lawyers Club event in August 2020. The problems in this study are: (1) What are the types of imperative speech in the Indonesia Lawyers Club event in August 2020. (2) What are the maxims of politeness principles in each imperative speech? in the Indonesia Lawyers Club event in August 2020. This study aims to (1) describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude the types of imperative speech in the Indonesia Lawyers Club event in August 2020. (2) Describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude the maxims the principle of politeness in every imperative speech at the Indonesia Lawyers Club event in August 2020. The approach that the author uses in this study is a qualitative approach. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Data collection techniques used by the author in order to collect data, namely by using documentation, listening and note-taking techniques. As a reference, the author uses the theory proposed by Rahardi (2005:50). Types of imperative speech in the Indonesia Lawyers Club event in August 2020 the authors found 50 imperative speeches, including, 12 ordinary imperative speeches, 8 request imperative utterances, 11 permission imperative utterances, 11 invitation imperative utterances and 8 orders imperative utterances. The maxim of politeness principles contained in every imperative utterance at the Indonesia Lawyers Club event in August 2020 the authors found 22 imperative utterances containing the maxims of politeness principles, including, 11 maxims of wisdom, 4 maxims of generosity, 2 maxims of appreciation, 4 maxims of consensus and 1 maxim sympathy maxim of sympathy used in imperative sentences spoken by the teacher amounted to 2 speech data.

Abstract

In spoken form, sentences are spoken in an up. And down voice and loud and soft, interrupted by pauses and ending with the final intonation. While in the form of written Latin letters, sentences begin with a capital letter and end with a period (.) to state news sentences or informative ones, question marks (?) to state questions and exclamation points (!) to state imperative sentences. To describe, analyze, interpret and conclude declarative, interrogative, imperative, and interjective sentences in the advertisement offering the news paper Tribun Pekanbaru published during July 2021. The theory used is Chaer, 2009, The data source of this research is the advertisement offering the news paper Tribun Pekanbaru. This study uses aqualitative approach, this type of research is a library (Librar Research). The method used is descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are documentation techniques and hermerneutic techniques. The data analysis technique in this study makes data tables, the classified data is then analyzed, interprets, concludes there results of research on the analysis of declarative, interrogative, imperative, and interjective sentences in the advertisement of the Pekanbaru Tribune news paper offer. The results of the study based on the data analysis that there searchers did on the advertisement offerings of the Pekanbaru Tribune news paper, there searchers found 36 offer sentences that were found. 20 declarative sentences, 4interrogative sentences, 10 imperative sentences, and 2 interjective sentences
