Abstract

Garbage is still a problem, therefore one of the efforts of the Banjarnegara Regency Government to overcome the waste problem is to create a Winong Final Processing Site. The existence of the TPA creates a new job, namely scavengers. The presence of scavengers has a high risk of contracting various diseases such as diarrhea, scabies, and infections. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of scavengers regarding personal hygiene. This study uses a descriptive approach. The research was conducted at the Winong TPA, Banjarnegara Regency with a population of 19 scavengers as respondents. The research sample was taken using incidental sampling technique. Data were obtained from interviews and checklist observations on the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of garbage scavengers. Data analysis was carried out in a univariate methode. The results showed that the description of knowledge about personal hygiene of respondents was in good category as much as 94.73%, attitudes about personal hygiene of respondents were all good, namely 100%, and personal hygiene behavior of respondents was all positive, namely 100%.

Abstract

Acute respiratory infection (ARI) is an acute respiratory disease caused by an infectious agent that is transmitted from humans. The incidence of ARI at the Susukan 1 Health Center was ranked first, namely in 2019 as many as 4,898 cases. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of ARI sufferers in Gumelem Wetan Village, Susukan District, Banjarnegara Regency in 2021. This study included descriptive research with a cross sectional approach. The study population was ARI sufferers as many as 125 respondents in January - May 2021 in Gumelem Wetan Village. The number of samples taken was 41 patients with ARI. The data used in this study are primary data obtained from interviews with a questionnaire guide. Data analysis was carried out in a univariate way. The results showed that the description of the knowledge of ARI sufferers in the good category was 43.9%, the attitude of the ARI sufferers was in the good category 48.8%, and the behavior of ARI patients was in the good category 46.3%.

Abstract

ARI is still a public health problem today. Puskesmas Banjarmangu 2 is one of the Puskesmas inBanjarnegara Regency which still has ARI disease problems. Based on observations from January toMarch 2022, the prevalence of ARI is still quite high. The purpose of this study was to find out anddescribe the description of knowledge, attitudes and behavior as well as the physical condition of thehouse of patients with ARI (Acute Respiratory Infection) in the Work Area of the Banjarmangu HealthCenter 2. This study was included in a descriptive study with a cross sectional method. The populationin this study were patients with ARI Puskesmas Banjarmangu 2 who had checked themselves at thePuskesmas in the period March 2022, namely 58 people with random sampling technique. The data usedin this study are primary data obtained from questionnaires and field observations as well as secondarydata from previous studies. Data analysis was carried out in a univariate way. The results showed thatthe patient's knowledge level was good (67.2%), the patient's attitude was good (93.1%), and thepatient's behavior was good (87.9%).
