Abstract

This research aims to find out and help improve the effectiveness of the queuing system and the feasibility of the layout at the Pekanbaru Toll Gate service by using quantitative analysis of queuing and layout models. From the observations made, it is known that the queuing pattern that occurs at the Pekanbaru Toll Gate uses a single channel-single phase (M/M/1) model. The results showed that the average number of vehicles at the entrance is 6 vehicles and the utilization rate is 85.6269%, while at the exit the average number of vehicles is 13 and the utilization rate is 92,6829%. For the feasibility of the layout at the entrance, it has met the vehicle capacity, but at the exit it still has not met the vehicle capacity because it exceeds the existing queue line limit.

Abstract

Project management implementation require some methods, it is done to control the project performance. The purpose of this study is to determine the form of network planning, critical path and probability level on PT. Ghinan Indo Mandiri, Ternate City. This research doing by quantitative descriptive. The data type used is quantitative data sourced from interview and company's documents. This research uses Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) and Critical Path Method (CPM). Network planning is used to find the critical paths and calculate the probability level. By using the PERT and CPM methods, the initial plan of 34 weeks for the Gebe airport project had a probability level of 97.9%. Furthermore, the crashing program accelerate 2 weeks processing time can be optimized to be 32 weeks while holding 97.9% of probability level with additional costs.
