Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve students' learning activity of class XI AP SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo in following the subjects of managing the archive system of Lesson Year 2016/2017 through the implementation of cooperative learning model of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) method with combination of learning method of Mind Maping. type of research conducted by researchers is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects of this study were students of class XI AP SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo academic year 2016/2017 which amounted to 36 people. This research is conducted by involving the teacher of managing system archives subjects, researchers and the participation of learners. Data collection techniques are conducted through several activities: (a) observation, (b) interview, and (c) documentation. The research procedure includes stages: (a) action planning, (b) implementation of action, (c) observation, and (d) reflection of action.Based on the results of the study, it can be application of cooperative learning model student team achievement division (STAD) method with combination learning method mind mapping can improve the activity. This is evident in the cycle I and cycle II the learner activity continues to increase. The liveliness of the learner during pre cycle has not reached 75%. In Cycle 1 the activity has increased on visual aspect activities 61,11%, oral activities 55,56%, drawing activities 75%, mental activities 69,44% and emotional activities 75%. Furthermore, in cycle 2 the activity had significant improvement on visual aspect activities of 94,44%, oral activities 91,67%, drawing activities 94,44%, mental activities 94,44% and emotional activities 97,00%. Thus it can be concluded that by applying cooperative learning model of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) method with combination of learning method of Mind Maping can increase learner activity on archive system management subject.Keywords: STAD, Mind Maping, Cooperative Learning
