Abstract

Peer tutoring is a learning method that is carried out by selecting students who have more abilities than others to guide other students who have abilities below them. The research in this thesis formulates three main problems, namely:How is the implementation of the peer tutoring method at Martia Bhakti High School Bekasi and What are the supporting factors and inhibiting factors in the application of the peer tutor method at Martia Bhakti High School Bekasi. The purpose of the study was to determine the implementation of the peer tutoring method as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors for the application of the peer tutor method in improving students' reading skills of the Koran at SMA Martia Bhakti Bekasi.The research in this thesis uses naturalistic qualitative research, namely research that is based on a phenomenological view and seeks to understand the meaning of events and their relation to the object of research. The results showed that the peer tutoring method at SMA Martia Bhakti Bekasi did not cover the maturity of planning, implementation of organizing activities and evaluating activities. This can be confirmed because the peer tutoring method at SMA Martia Bhakti Bekasi has not become the main program in learning the Qur'an. The factors that support the application of peer tutors at SMA Martia Bhakti Bekasi include the enthusiasm of students in reciting the Qur'an, the cohesiveness of teachers in teaching the Qur'an, and encouragement from parents or guardians of students. While the inhibiting factors, time constraints, quality of tutors (tutor standardization), there are no specific guidelines for learning the Koran using peer tutors and have not made peer tutors the main program in learning the Koran.

Abstract

: Consciously or not, the Covid-19 pandemic has forced almost all activities in daily life to use an internet connection, including education. Learning that was initially able to be done face-to-face now has to use an internet connection due to the implementation of social distancing. One of the applications used for online learning activities is WhatsApp. This research was conducted to determine the performance of Islamic Religious Education learning through WhatsApp social media and the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing Islamic Religious Education learning activities through WhatsApp social media. This research uses qualitative research with a naturalistic phenomenological approach. The results in this study are Islamic Religious Education learning activities through WhatsApp social media, starting with taking an absence, followed by educators providing material through WhatsApp social media, conducting discussions and asking questions, and ending with giving material through power points by educators and providing conclusions. And the supporting and inhibiting factors in learning activities through WhatsApp social media are not bound by space and time, preventing the increase in the number of Covid-19, easy to operate. The inhibiting factor is that educators cannot recognize students' character well, the material provided cannot be understood by participants and are well educated, limited media and unstable signal conditions. The inhibiting factors also have an impact on decreasing student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out how the implementation of the problem posing methodin improving learning activities in Bekasi and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors. Thisresearch was conducted through analytical techniques from the data that had been obtained duringresearch activities and the researchers attempted to explain and explain rationally, objectively with theobjectives and existing research problems. The method that the researcher uses in this research is aqualitative approach with the type of naturalistic phenomenological research, namely the type of researchcarried out by researchers to identify human experience about a certain phenomenon naturally.The implementation of the Problem posing method begins with doing absenteeism by students. Next, theeducator forms a study group between 4-6 students in the group. After that, the teacher explains the materialrelated to honest and fair behavior and avoids drinking, gambling, and fighting, then the teacher givesenough practice questions and the teacher asks students to ask questions 1 or 2 the questions arechallenging and the students concerned must be able to solve them and randomly the educator asks studentsto present their findings in front of the class, in this case the teacher can determine students selectivelybased on the weight of the questions submitted by students after that the educator gives homeworkindividually. The implementation of the problem posing method in increasing learning activities hassupporting and inhibiting factors. The supporting factors are the ability of educators to apply the problemposing method, complete learning resources such as LKS books (Student Worksheets) and writing tools,the condition of students who are ready to learn. While the inhibiting factor is the limited time in thelearning process.This problem posing method can be used as a learning method because learning activities carried outthrough the problem posing method can increase student learning activities.
